Built in 1946, this charming cottage tucked away in Slumber Village is the perfect escape from city life. The cottage is cozy and quiet with handcrafted countertops, a large Queen bed, and an antique wine barrel dining table that give you the feeling of a true Alaskan hideaway. Enjoy some relaxation with high pressure showers, complimentary high-speed WiFi, and a fold out futon. This one-of-a-kind cottage will definitely make your stay unforgettable.
Walking distance to great restaurants, trails, buses, bars, and groceries. Only 10 minute uber to airport. The cabin is within a couple blocks of truly great restaurants. Spenard Roadhouse, Middleway Cafe, and Bear Tooth Theater are local favorites. Yak & Yeti serves great Tibetan food to go. For nightlife, Chilkoot Charlie's is close by which is like a little mecca of different bars and has live music every night. If you head in, I advise heading straight to the bird house for some local stories. Ask the bartender there about the ptarmigan horn. Close to bus stops for those who use public transportation. Nearby there is a bike rental shop that has mountain bikes and e-bikes.

Host was a wealth of information for things to do close by. Very accommodating. Quiet enough to enjoy the evening by the fire pit. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely book another stay in the future! Thank you again to our Host for being so gracious!

We stayed in a different bungalow than was advertised in the listing. Furniture was different and not as much of it. Curtains are sparse and don't totally cover the windows. It was clean, but needs some detail work around the edges--floorboards need painting, bathroom could use some TLC. The shower is situated so that water sprays all over the bathroom floor, no matter where you point it. The place was clean when we arrived. It is cute with lots of potential.
One curtain that does not cover the window totally. In the listing, this little room has a few chairs and table. It is actually empty.
This is the kitchen window. Curtain has been chopped off at the bottom to make it fit.
In the listing, the bedroom has 2 end tables and 2 lamps, as well as a shelf. This room has a bed and a stool.

Just as advertised.

Enjoyed our stay at Slumber village! Close to restaurants, easy to find, off street parking, and inside, towels fluffy, heater worked well for those cold Alaska nights, bed comfortable. We didn’t cook so cannot comment on oven or stovetop. Tall dining table with stools in front room. Had a request and on site host able to respond promptly. Even forgot an item and host sent it by mail back to my home when meet up timing didn’t work for both parties! I would rent here again.
