Secluded Ranch Cabin on 40 Acres

A warm 2-bedroom cabin on a private 40+ acre ranch near Whistle Lake. Sleeps 9 with a full kitchen, dining for 8, and family-friendly gear. Step out to private trails, orchards, ponds, a small chapel, fire pits, and a large covered BBQ pavilion with an outdoor kitchen. Minutes to Anacortes, Deception Pass, and Mt. Erie.



The Space:

This two-bedroom cabin is set on a quiet, forested hillside of our 40+ acre ranch and is arranged for simple, comfortable time together. Bedroom 1 sits behind sliding barn doors and includes one queen bed plus a bunk bed, sleeping four. Bedroom 2 features a full-size lower bunk with single beds above, completing a true sleeps-9 layout when combined with Bedroom 1. The private bathroom has a walk-in shower and a full vanity.



The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, cookware, and dishes so you can prepare meals with ease. The dining table seats eight and works well for family-style service. The living area is open and relaxed, with warm wood interiors that make it easy to gather for games and movies.



Families will find travel simpler here. A high chair, a Pack ’n Play, and window guards are provided. Step outside to trails, fire-pit areas, orchards, ponds, and a small chapel. Guests also have access to the covered BBQ pavilion with an outdoor kitchen. Parking is close to the cabin, and you are minutes from the private trail to Whistle Lake.



Events and celebrations are welcome with prior approval. Please message us with your guest count, daytime plans, and any vendor needs. Additional site guidelines and fees may apply.



Guest Access:

◆Trails & Nature: Forest and meadow walking trails, scenic viewpoints, fruit orchards, ponds, and fountains.

◆Pavilion & Outdoor Kitchen (shared): Access to the covered BBQ Pavilion with an outdoor kitchen; great for group meals.

◆Play & Gather: Fire-pit areas with seating and a small on-property chapel for quiet moments. When not reserved.

◆Whistle Lake: Trail access from the ranch; about a 15-minute walk.

◆Parking: Spaces available close to the cabin.

◆Respect for Others: Please stay within areas reserved for your group and respect the privacy of other cabins and staff spaces.

◆Scheduling: Day use of the pavilion and other shared areas can be limited during events - message us with plans so we can confirm availability.



The Neighborhood:

◆Whistle Lake & Trails: Private ranch path connects to the Whistle Lake network - great for swims in summer and quiet walks year-round.

◆Anacortes (10–15 min): Cafes, marinas, weekly markets, and ferry access to the San Juan Islands.

◆Deception Pass (20–25 min): Iconic bridge, beaches, tide pools, and sunset lookouts.

◆Mt. Erie (10–15 min): Short drives to trailheads and panoramic viewpoints.

◆Family Spots: Playgrounds, picnic beaches, and easy forest loops within a short drive.

◆Seasonal Highlights: Spring Tulip Festival, summer whale watching, fall colors on the lakes, winter storm watching on coastal beaches.



Getting Around:

-Car is easiest: Most guests arrive by car; local trailheads, downtown Anacortes, and beaches are short drives.

-Ranch roads: Narrow and winding - please drive 10 MPH, watch for wildlife and signage.

-Parking: Spots available close to the cabin; overflow by request if you’re arriving with multiple vehicles.

-Rideshare: Limited in rural areas - schedule ahead if you plan to use Uber/Lyft or taxis.

-Ferries: Anacortes ferry terminal offers access to the San Juan Islands; reservations are recommended in peak seasons.

-Trails on foot: The ranch connects to local paths; Whistle Lake is about a 15-minute walk from the property.

-Events & Celebrations (with approval): Small, respectful gatherings are welcome by prior approval. Share your guest count, daytime plan, and any vendors so we can confirm guidelines and any applicable fees.

-Quiet hours: 10:00 PM–8:00 AM to keep the ranch peaceful.

-No pets. No smoking: Anywhere on ranch property.

-Starter supplies: We provide a starter set of toiletries, dish soap, and paper goods. For longer stays, please plan to restock.

-Linens & towels: Provided for your stay.

-Wi-Fi & cell service: Wi-Fi is available; cellular signal can vary in the forested areas.

-Shared spaces: The covered BBQ Pavilion with outdoor kitchen, fire-pit areas, chapel, orchards, ponds, and trails are shared spaces. Pavilion use may be scheduled or limited during events—message us to confirm availability.

-Safety & roads: Ranch roads are narrow and winding; 10 MPH speed limit. Watch for wildlife and signage.

-Laundry service (optional): Weekdays only (Mon–Fri), $50 per 13-gallon bag for wash & dry. Message after arrival to arrange.

-Respect for others: Please remain within areas reserved for your group and respect private cabins and staff areas.

While your stay at Cabin 2 offers privacy and seclusion, our team is never far if you need anything. Scimitar Ridge Ranch has full-time staff on-site who manage grounds keeping, maintenance, and housekeeping across the property. You may see them working quietly during the day to keep the ranch in top shape.
