Magnificent up-close WATERFRONT "SunBright Le Reve" Premier Westside Orcas

Rare westerly up-close beachfront near the quaint village of Eastsound for an easy vacation or getaway.

With a premier westside Orcas Island waterfront location, SunBright Le Reve is a gem in the San Juan Islands. The home features waterfront living in a spectacular setting with beach access, a mooring buoy, and privacy - yet is only a four minute drive to Eastsound, a picturesque village at the end of a fjord that is perhaps the most charming seaside village in the entire San Juan Islands chain.

The custom Northwest style single-level home sits directly at the water's edge and is nestled among majestic evergreen trees and enjoys a sunny western exposure. The location is ideal; on a dead-end private road close to West Beach, Camp Orkila, and Eastsound for convenient access to quality shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. An expansive shoreline and private beach stairs assures hours of beach exploration with plenty of tide pools teeming with marine life at low tide.

Barbecue with a quality Weber grill and dine at the water's edge with 180-degree forever views extending from the San Juan islands and Canadian Gulf islands all the way to Vancouver, Canada. Gaze at many interesting ships as they pass by in the distance along the US and Canadian border.

Bring your own boat and tie to our mooring buoy or rent kayaks in town and explore our fascinating bay with its rich marine and bird activity. Even from the house, seals and otters are frequently seen splashing and in summers 2021-24 there were numerous Orca sightings directly from our oceanside deck. Our bay is known locally as a prime crabbing and fishing destination and is one of the most popular kayaking spots on Orcas due to the abundant wildlife and beautiful scenery.

The quality of light at SunBright Le Reve is very special. Sunlight pours into this home throughout the entire day, culminating in a tremendous glistening effect near sunset. Enjoy an evening glass of wine and delight in the golden flickers of light "dancing" around the living room. Bake a pie with apples, pears or plums from one of the mature fruit trees on the property. Then enjoy your homemade dessert in a setting that is private and peaceful. The salt air, shimmering sun and spectacular sunsets surrounded by the majestic Orcas forests makes for a magical setting for your vacation or weekend getaway.

A truly remarkable property in a magical place. The owners clearly hold their guests in high regard with thoughtful touches (fresh flowers throughout), efficient and personal management, and impeccable cleanliness. Family vacation

Fabulous vacation. The home was as beautiful and well appointed as the photos make it out to be. Anneli was a lovely host. Our favorite part was sitting on the deck in the evenings watching the sunsets with the seals and otters. We cannot wait to go back.

A dream vacation house!

Pictures hardly do this place justice - the view and location of the property were priceless. Sitting out on the wraparound deck each night was a dream. We were a multi-generational family of 8 including 3 kids under 3 and the house had everything we could have needed and more than enough space to accommodate us all comfortably. Fully stocked kitchen, clean and modern bedroom and bathrooms, and the little outdoor playhouse was icing on the cake. Anyone would be lucky to spend a week at Anneli’s while on Orcas and we hope to be back one day!

Amazing place!

We loved our stay on Orcas. This house was beautiful. Three bedrooms, with one bedroom having a queen and two twin beds. Having dinner on the deck was magical, and my 3 year old loved the play house. The house is 5 minutes from Eastsound. It was perfectly locater to explore the whole island. Already dreaming of going back.

Perfect Family Getaway from Texas

Perfect Orcas Getaway!

One of our favorite houses on Orcas!

We have been renting on Orcas island for over two decades and this house stands out as one of our favorites. Remarkable designer, home situation just above the water with gorgeous gardens

Gorgeous home, and amazing view, more than we expected!

This home has a spirit of its own that permeates the entire property with beauty, calm and energy.. the decor is beautiful that is lush and comfortable. Every detail of the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry are first class. We cooked every day and had everything we needed. We kayaked, hiked, biked, fished crabbed and whale watched.. Every sunset was an event. This was a trip to remember forever!

Fabulous Spot in the World

Fabulous house, location and view. Great fun to watch the wildlife, marine and air traffic from the deck. We could easily pop into town for whatever, yet escape back to here and the edge of civilization in minutes! Furnishings and their entertainment value are worth the price of admission. 😊 We have stayed in a great many exquisite houses in the US and Europe and this one is right up there among the best! Our kinda place to kick back! We would come back in a heartbeat! We lucked out with good weather on most days. From kayaks we saw a thousand jellies, a mink, many seals, otters and stars, and so many birds including Great Blue Herons and a Peregrine Falcon. Took great bike and hiking tours as well. What an escape!

Amazing Place!

Our family, including our 3 1/2 and 15 month old grandsons, had a wonderful stay at SunBright Le Reve. The pictures do not do the property justice. It is a truly gorgeous house and setting. The house is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen is a dream and has everything you need to cook meals that can be enjoyed outside on the beautiful deck with stunning views. There are several outside seating areas when you want some solitude and there’s even a “beach house” play house that our little guys loved. Anneli is very responsive and easy to work with. She made several recommendations for things to do and see that were spot on. Eastsound is a short drive away and a charming town to explore. Don’t miss the Clever Cow for delicious ice cream. We rented canoes at Cascade Lake and hiked on some beautiful trails, including up to the tower on Mt Constitution. And you can do beachcombing and tide pooling right down the steps from the backyard. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. It’s fantastic!

A little piece of heaven

Warm and welcoming with breathtaking views. The home is beautiful. It is so inviting. Everything you need to have a wonderful stay is there. Loved sitting on the porch and taking in the views and watching the tides come in and out. The birds were so interesting. We saw a couple of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen. Just stunning over the water I did need to contact the owner and she got back to me right away. We solved the problem and she shared lots of places to go and things to see and where to eat and visited for awhile.. She truly wants you to really enjoy your stay. The house and grounds were spotless. Anything you could want was there. Orcas Island is beautiful. We drove to every corner of the island. So interesting. Fall colors were starting to come out. Delightful

Staying at Annie's house on Orcas Island was like stepping into a living masterpiece! The entire home benefits from a designer’s eye, with each rug as beautiful as the last, perfectly complementing the tasteful decor that makes every corner a delight. Nothing about this visit said rental. It is a well appointed and stocked home. Annie herself is a gem—so warm, communicative, and endlessly helpful. She has an eye for detail that truly shows, from the immaculate cleanliness of the house to the thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. The site is incredible. A large lot perched on the waterfront with a magnificent staircase to assist your walk for beachcombing. You can’t see any neighbors and it is so quiet and so calming. And oh, the fruit trees! Wandering through the garden felt like entering a magical orchard, with plums, pears, and apples hanging heavy from the branches. There’s excellent seating on all sides and the lot is filled with lavender. If you're looking for a place that feels more like a dream than just a rental, Annie's house is it. We can't wait to return to this little slice of paradise on Orcas Island! If it is available for you to book, you should not hesitate for one second.

exquisite house, staggeringly well equipped throughout, especially the kitchen. Glass walls to the sound and marine traffic, so it's close to living outside. Great deck and furniture! Isolated yet close to town and services. This is our 3rd year here and we've signed up for a fourth.
