The Kyoto Century Hotel is a fantastic establishment. Staff are friendly, attentive and courteous. Rooms have king sized bed, mini fridge and the hotel provide yukata.
The only snag we had was with the check-in process. Check-in is at 3pm and the hotel uses a self check-in computer kiosk (there is only 3 of them). It's a little overwhelming having only 3 kiosks and all the hotel guests trying to check-in all at once. But staff are there to help streamline the process as best as they can. Not the end of the world.
You are however able to check your luggage in with the hotel before check-in time if you arrive early and your luggage will be waiting for you in your room.
Hotel location is minutes walk away from the Kyoto Station and shopping district.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Kyoto Century Hotel.

This hotel is fantastic! The rooms are spacious with a zen Japanese design. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. There’s free coffee, cappuccino, beer and wine in the lobby 24x7. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it!

Our room was beautiful. It was quiet and had blackout draperies, the beds were comfortable. The garden room was gorgeous, the view from the bathtub was just great. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices. The location was close to transportation and a short walk to Pontocho. We enjoyed our stay. We arrived early and asked if one room was available. It was and it was great to check it early and quickly shower after a long day of traveling. They prorated the daily cost, so $100 for 4 hours. While fair, we were staying for 4 nights with 2 rooms, so it seemed a bit penny pinching-and it took over 30 minutes for the front desk to calculate the fee.
