Instructions were great. Owner was accessible. The property is quite lovely and roomy. Everything was clean and great amenities. The only thing that I would add is that the property needs a bit of updating. But its quaintness and being rustic are part of its charm.

This B&B is a separate house for the guests. Very clean and quiet. Out in county and very quiet. Had some deer stop and look while I sat on the patio.

Okay but light on hospitality.
The owners never greeted. We found a sign on the front door. We called before we got there & the woman who answered said she wasn't home, we should just walk in as they had no other guests and we'd have the place to ourselves. Imagine our surprise the next night when we saw another note on the door & another guest who showed up when we were in our PJs. Also there was food in the fridge & we didn't know who it was for so we bought our own breakfast stuff & later learned the owners lived in the cottage when they had no guests. Don't expect much in the way of communication from them. The good news is the place was clean and away from any traffic or noise.

Sorry to hear that we didn't meet your hospitality expectations. We can understand how there was confusion. We had thought that a note on the door (like the note we had on the door for your arrival) with another guests name, in a different room would make it clear to you that someone else was coming on the second night of your stay. We also have a note in the fridge saying that the top and middle shelves are communal breakfast foods for guests. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the cleanliness and quiet of our Bed and Breakfast. Quiet get away with great supplies for making you own breakfast. Community refrigerator available for use. Nice outside area and large dining/living room shared areas.

Inspiring combination of modern green tech with traditional home in a pastoral setting is a great place to stay for hiking the Ice Age Trail, Exploring Hartmann State Park and kayaking Waupaca’s chain of lakes.

The B & B is beautiful with the wood floors. It is decorated with local pottery and art which adds to the charm. The landscape is beautiful and very quiet. Leif and Marguerite were gracious hosts and very accommodating. Definitely a "hidden gem" that provided a very peaceful and relaxing getaway.

Enjoyed seclude/quiet location, beautiful and welcoming house in the middle of farming land but not far from a middle side towns. Welcoming, and respectful host/owner. Love the smell of the place. Ecofriendly, clean, and safe. Nice place to recharge, and stay away from noisy people in hotels. Had access to the kitchen, and most areas of the house. will definitely go back when I have the opportunity. It was a nice finding. Thank you.

The property was secluded and quiet and dark! We loved it, the only thing that would have been better was to have the whole place to ourselves, but selecting the Energy Room you have an attached bathroom and private entrance which makes it quite private. You don't have to use the shared spaces unless you want to!

We really enjoyed this B&B. Set in middle of farmland. House very spacious and inviting. While no prepared breakfast, the host provided food to make your own breakfast. This would be an ideal place to rent the whole house for a few days. The living room and kitchen are common areas that we shared with the other guests. We were very lucky that we got along great with them. Very eco friendly, as whole house powered by solar energy.

The atmosphere was warmth, cozy, calm, serenit. There were beautiful views of Wisconsin trees, birds, and the countryside drive was picturesque! I had morning coffee on the patio and saw the smallest bird stop at the bird feeder.

Aretha B n B is way out in the country. If you want quiet and peaceful, this is the place for you. Due to the virus, breakfast wasn’t served but there was many breakfast items available so eating wasn’t an issue. And we felt the 10:00 checkout time was a bit early.

Wonderful retreat in a beautiful setting
I was very lucky to find this oasis on a recent business trip. Marguerite and Bob have created a welcoming, mindful B&B in the midst of rural Wisconsin. Only a few rooms, and incredibly quiet at night. A shared open kitchen space was nice for making a late night snack, too. Clean, rustic (in the best ways), highly recommended.
