"The owners, Gaelle and Bruno, are grand hosts and are charming. This visit was our second, and if we return to Amboise, we will stay there again. The rooms in the manor house are spacious and well appointed. Breakfast is a must. Our hosts provided recommendations for dinner that were not tourist oriented, and helped us schedule a taxi to the railway station."

"A lovely quiet comfortable place to stay.
The owners made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room was large, airy and had a lovely view across the grounds. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, highly recommended."

"La Rocheliere is an absolutely beautiful and unique BnB. It’s beautifully maintained with modern amenities, and staying in a building from the 1600s was an amazing experience. The host was very friendly and offered a lot of tips for things to do around the area. I definitely recommend the stay for those looking to explore the Loire Valley in a comfortable and historic setting."

"Very clean room. Very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. With an amazing restaurant, excellent food and wines. We booked half board and although our choice of food was more limited, it was really delicious.
And good breakfast. Would definitely recommend and book again if we were in the area."

"This place (especially the panoramic rooms) is amazing ….. if one likes being in the middle of nature ….. and having to drive (about 5 minutes) to the busy (and beautiful) town center."
"This Hotel was booked as a single night stop over on our way from Chamonix to Caen. After a 650km drive it was a really welcome sight. Although next to a commercial area / retail park, the hotel is enclosed by trees, feels private and has plenty of parking. The hotel is bright and airy and very comfortable. We opted for the Executive double room when we booked a few days in advance of our stay so we had a sofa and somewhere to sit. On reflection the standard double rooms are probably just as comfortable based on what we could see in the website. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. The evening meals were very tasty too and reasonably priced. The bar had a good selection of drinks and the swimming pool is a great amenity too. We would definitely stay at a Westotel again."
"We LOVED this boutique hotel! I wish we had more time to spend there and would definitely come back in a heartbeat. The staff was welcoming, fun, kind and spoke great English. We had one of the guest rooms in the rear of the property by the pool and loved the little patio and view. This is great for couples and even families. It’s a small property but the best experience. They also have parking in the back that you can access after checking in. We had a full sized car and it fits but is tight like all parking in France. Zero complaints and we highly recommend this hotel."
"We truly enjoyed our stay at this property in Amboise. From the moment we arrived, Bertrand was a wonderful asset to the hotel. He was excellent with communication and put such a positive, welcoming face on the property. It was obvious that he was listening carefully and responding thoughtfully to our needs. His presence there should be highly valued, in our opinion.
The breakfast was excellent and was definitely a highlight of our stay. We also appreciated the overall experience and will be recommending this property to our American friends who visit the area.
Our only constructive comment would be that the swimming pool could perhaps have been kept a little cleaner. There were leaves in the pool each day while we were swimming. It was a very minor issue and certainly did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the hotel.
We had a very nice stay and would be happy to recommend this property to others visiting Amboise."
"Reception was very friendly and helpful re parking my car. Throughout my 2 day saty staff were very competent, efficient and helpful in ll situations. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of food available. Bed very comfortable; bathroom excellent.
The hotel is a bit "tired" in terms of decor, carpeting etc. - couls do with a facelift."
"Helpful staff clean fairly standard room. Unfortunately pool not open till 11am on day of departure so we couldn't use. 20 min walk to the town Square so perfectly possible. Great location overall."
If you're looking for something a little more offbeat than your standard hotel experience, a bed and breakfast could be a great option for your trip. If your ideal holiday to Amboise includes spending lots of time outside, Pagoda of Chanteloup is a good spot to enjoy the scenery.
