I was traveling from Austin, TX to Grand Junction, CO and needed a pet friendly place to stay. I started my drive late and didn't arrive in Amarillo until about 4AM but had booked my room using Expedia while stopping for gas. When I arrived the night concierge was prompt to arrive when I followed the instructions to page them. They were very helpful and got me sorted quickly for how late it was. Expedia didn't mention a pet deposit but the concierge explained it to me and was very helpful in adding the nonrefundable deposit to my card. The room was clean, had lots of amenities and the A/C worked well. I had an easy time checking out, it was seamless. Also, all the staff I met were cheerful and polite! The maintenance staff on duty when I was checking out, when he saw my dog, even explicitly mentioned the dog treats at the counter and encouraged me to get one for my pup. Even though it was a short stay for me, for the price ($99 +tax +$40 pet deposit) it was so worth it to be able to rest. The bathroom worked well as well, water was hot instantly. I'll stay here again when traveling with my pet through Amarillo. Thank you staff for the wonderful visit!

For the price this hotel had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. The refrigerator, full sized coffee pot, and microwave were a plus. Bath towels were soft and plentiful. Breakfast not included, $7.00.

The only good thing were the beds and the cleanliness of our room. We did not have any wash cloths and were told to use our towels for that purpose. We were told that their washing machine was broken. I asked how many washing machines there were and was told "I don't know". I find it hard to believe that a place that large did not have more than one machine. Unacceptable! Charged way too much for two small dogs. Breakfast was mediocre. The couches and chairs in the waiting areas were filthy. Only had one working elevator and it was scarry. It made odd noises and took several tries before it would stop on the actual floor and it bounced and shook. Will never stay there again!

This hotel is perfect! It is close to the hospital) which is why we were there) and easy to get to. It has a full size refrigerator which is important when staying for any length of time. Beds are comfortable and we just enjoy staying at My Place when we are in town.

My Place in Amarillo is a great place to stay. I always choose it when I am in Amarillo, and have stayed there multiple times over the last five years. The staff is friendly and professional and always tries to accommodate my requests. It is clean, convenient, and safe. The rooms are comfortable, and the kitchenette, with full size refrigerator (with ice maker) and stovetop, plus microwave and sink is great for eating-in. My little dog is welcome and enjoys walking in the lush grass landscaping—which is clean and well-maintained. The area is quiet and easily accessed.
