Room was uncomfortably hot, we had seen in a previous response to a review on here that they offered fans at reception free of charge to combat this. So, on our second night after a sleepless first night I enquired with reception about getting a fan for our room. Woman on reception (not really a reception was the bar) informed me that they in fact did not have any fans and suggested I just open the window. I told her we had done this and she said she’d come up to the room with me to see how hot it was. I felt this was a little insulting that she felt the need to check herself as what exactly was she checking for when she had told me they didn’t have anything to help. She told me the room was the ‘normal temperature’ and there was nothing they could do but if she got time she’d ask her manager if there was anything they could do. My partner then went down about an hour later and asked if there was an update. He was shooed away and told they were “too busy” to deal with him. He returned a few more hours later and this time showed them their own statement saying they had fans available at reception and this time he was told that “they probably did but…” insinuating that they just couldn’t be bothered to go and get one for us. Instead they continued serving alcohol to the already very drunk crowd in the main lobby who then proceeded to become verbally abusive to my partner. Nothing was done about the abuse as there was only 1 lone female staff member to tend to the entire lobby.

Dear Kira. Thank you for your review. I am very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience during your last stay. As it happens we actually have 130 electrical fans that we offer our guests during the warm months. Unfortunately you are the first guest who has asked to borrow a fan since maybe september. The night receptionist with whom you and your partner spoke has only been employed since January and apparently we have neglected to inform her that we have electric fans in storrage. It has not I will make sure that my colleague is informed, and shown where to find them, so we can avoid a similar misunderstanding in the future. As to what was said in the reception by my colleagues and by guests who felt the need to address your partner. My reception team always address our guests in a polite and professional manor, and I can only apologize if your partner received an impolite answer. I assure you that we do everything in our power to provide all our guests with the best possible service.Please do not hesitate to ask for an electrical fan next time you visit us. Great stay for the price. Surroundings are still a bit "Moonbase Alpha" but this will improve and the metro will take you to the Old Town in 10 minutes.

No fridge, beds very uncomfortable, and throughout the entire stay there was an incessant tapping sound coming from outside the room that we couldn't figure out the source of. We were calling it our prison cell the whole stay.

It was a good hotel toom. Nice size with new facilities and very clean. Only complaint is no air conditioning snd if you have an east facing room, its vety hot.

Hello Vasilios Thank you for your feedback. Good to hear that you liked our rooms and facilities. We don’t have air-conditioning like you find in most hotels in warmer climates. We have a more environmentally friendly system that cools air from the outside and circulates cold air to all the rooms. Our ventilation system is more than adequate most of the year, but when the temperature is very hot during the warmest week of summer, it can’t provide an ideal indoor temperature. The problem isn’t necessary solved by opening the windows. In addition to potential noise coming from the street, the outside air will be warmer than the air circulated by our system. This is why we have bought a great many electrical fans that provide our guests with additional air. Guests are welcome to borrow a fan free of charge at the reception. CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) dictates that we as a company should try to reduce our carbon dioxide emissions, and air-conditioning is one of the great sinners. Granted A/C systems are more efficient, but we must try and find sensible solutions, and Denmark is only hot for a short period of time each year. Best regards Mikkel

High price for adequate stay
Small room with most of what you would need for a short trip. No air conditioning in August was rough though as the room would heat up quick. Bed is stiff and pillows just okay. Breakfast options were good. Overall, this was adequate since I was out and about most of the time.

Clean, modern room, close to the airport
The accommodation is centrally located, close to a train station, the room was clean, convenient and equipped with everything an average traveller needs. The only thing which was a bit weird was when I registered at the reception they refused my cash payment in Danish Crowns. I mean, Copenhagen is the capital of the country of which the Danish Crown is the national currency. I eventually paid with debit card which wasn't a problem in my case but I wonder how they guarantee any personal data protection if every customer pays by card.

Very close walk to the metro, super convenient. Quiet and clean as well. The only slightly negative thing I’d say is that it can be a little hot at night since there’s no fan/AC

Very modern & clean hotel. Small but well thought out room. Nice bathroom. Location is unusual but transport was excellent. Staff were very kind, helpful & efficient. Breakfast was very tasty. The only negative was that the room & hotel in general was quite hot, although we were promptly provided with a fan when we asked.

Convenient hotel in Orestad
Decent hotel. Close to Orestad station - two stops from the airport on the train or 10 minutes from the centre of town on the Metro. Next to a big shopping centre. Hotel looks fairly new and in good condition. Not a huge room but enough space. Comfortable beds and excellent rainfall shower. Didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment on that. A good place to stay in Copenhagen and much cheaper than city centre hotels.

Excellent stylish hotel near Copenhagen airport . Half the price of closer airport hotels. Just 2 train stops from airport train station right out the front and 5 min walk from station. Great staff and , breakfast .

Lovely hotel located a short driving distance from the airport. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk to Ørestad metro/train station and the metro (Green M1 line) only takes 10-15 mins to get into the centre of Copenhagen. The hotel feels very ‘new’ and the rooms are spacious and comfortable enough. The only downside was that it got very hot in the early hours of the morning as the sun would be shining through our window meaning we had to keep the curtains closed all day to stop the heat coming in. The desk fan that was provided did act to keep the room cool though. It’s possible the rooms opposite from our corridor didn’t have this problem. The bar, self check-in and free water filling station are all nice touches! The power shower was great every morning too! We didn’t have the breakfast so we can’t comment on this, but it was busy each morning as we made our way out. All-in-all I would stay here and/or at another Zleep hotel again!

Room was very clean with modern decor. Nice pressure in shower. Staff great. Only real downside was no tea/coffee/kettle in the room. A bath robe and iron would have been nice to have as well.
