"Spa and restaurant were both closed the Friday evening that we spent here, which was disappointing. Instead, we visited a couple breweries in the area. The receptionist was wonderful and very helpful! The hotel itself was clean and had a cool forest theme inside. Would recommend for a spa getaway, but not the most ideal accommodation to check out downtown Gothenburg."

"If arriving by train in Alingsas, the Grand Hotel’s location can’t be beaten. Our room was very quiet except for the sound of the squeaky elevator passing the third floor. "La Mare resort staff were friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. The boat house was clean and comfortable and in great condition and the area was peaceful. The resort was however very far away from any public transportation and we had to take an Uber into the city and sights. The Ubers were affordable but the cost did add up."
