Birds nests in lighting, hot tub out of order, fountain in dining room just a big gaping hole, hotel buildings visible out window in poor condition, wine bottle display in dining room all empty. Hotel is showing its age.

Once we were checked in and settled Someone tried to break into our room using the adjoining door. We went to the front desk, they moved us. Keys didn’t work on the second room door. Had to walk all the way back to the front desk - hotel is not easy to navigate. Had a hard time sleeping after the incident. Also seems the hotel has invested more money into the lobby than the rooms. Rooms outdated and dirty. Will not stay here again.

It was a nice Hotel but needs updating. The HAVC system is very noisy and rattled and clanged everytime it came on and startled us awake almost every hour.

The air conditioner was very loud. And at 2 AM, there were still people talking and running in the hallway. Yesterday, after midnight, people next-door used a hair dryer and it was so loud just like they did it in my room. I wanted to take a shower this morning around 8:30 AM. The water was warm for just a few minutes. Then it turned to cold. I could hear that the people downstairs also were taking a shower. I cannot believe this happened. I have never met this case before. I stayed in the tub for about 5 more minutes hoping that the warm water would come back, but I failed. So, I had to give up. I will not book this hotel anymore. It is not acceptable.

I feel like I was scammed by the appearance posted online. They shared the lobby, and minimal photos of actual rooms. The lobby area looks gorgeous and clean, the rooms are very standard not too bad but you can tell they aren’t cleaned. Our second room (we had to switch rooms due to awful smell in the first room) had something smeared all over the inside of the window, the vents and light fixture in the bathroom were covered in dust and grime, you could hear everyone around you yelling and running through the halls. When we arrived to the lobby we were informed that to get to our room we would have to walk down a long, long maze of a hall to find the elevator or drive around the building and enter a side door to get to the elevator. The elevator itself was HORRID! Chipped tile, 1inch gaps between the floor and wall which was filled with dirt, it looked like someone had literally been splattered inside the elevator door. Once arriving to our floor it’s another long maze of twist and turns, walking hallways of all sorts of different pattern caprtmet and stains, trash that was never picked up. They gave us a menu for breakfast which promised eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage, fruit and cereal. They had eggs and potatoes and that was basically it. The only positive feedback I have is that the workers were polite. They switched our room for us when we were displeased with the intense chlorine smell in room one. Do not recommend staying here unfortunately

Overall, it feels the property has seen better days. The location is excellent but the downside is it's old but seems like renovation is being done. The property needs a big face-lift both inside and out. The bar is decent but music on Saturday night was just too loud. Rooms are decent with decent breakfast options as well.

The front desk people during check out were rude ignorant made my kods ubcpmfortable and also everytime i walked away id stand behind the wall and listen to them talk about me ignorantly this is npt my forat stay i took my kids for christmas also and same two people and did the same thing this ia a terrible act and i cant believe they still have their jobs and if it wasmt for my lids i would never EVER stay again. Oh and price changed 6 times while trying tp book i will never use expedoa again

My husband and I took our daughter and her friend for a weekend trip to Altoona for my daughter's 9th birthday. She wanted a place with a pool and my husband and I wanted a place that had a hot tub. If that's what you want, don't go here. The hot tub is closed "indefinitely". And I'm was also surprised at the lack of pool towels available. We didn't bring beach towels because every hotel we've been to with a pool is always very well stocked with pool towels. Not here! You have to grab a towel right away when you enter if anything is there on the tiny pile of like 6 for a hotel that had hundreds of guests. At one point while we were all in the pool, we watched a hotel worker come and take the towels that were on our seats. So that was unfortunate for us. The rooms were nice. We did all agree that the beds were comfortable, which was important because we've stayed at full-on resorts that had hard beds that ruined our stays. So this place has comfortable beds for sure. However, the televisions were terrible. Most of the channels have an error saying it's not included, so it was surprisingly difficult to find something to watch while in the room. The restaurant and bar were nice. No complaints. The breakfast was fine, but they didn't swap out the protein and my husband and daughter were bummed to have ham option each day. Overall, it was nice, the staff were nice, but we likely won't stay here again since the main reason we chose it was for the pool AND hot tub.

The swimming pool was very large and really warm. It was great! Almost good enough to replace the hot tub which was out of order. Beautiful hotel, nicely kept and clean. The pool and the good value make it a winner for us. We'll be back!

There were no towels available at the pool, when I asked for some, was told they were drying. We had to use our room towels. Called houskeepung for more room towels for showers then later. None were brought. Had to go to front desk for them. The grouses nest did not want to take our food order due to them being busy. The second room we got across from poolside room was only 62° due to the outside door not sealing and having horrible draft. When we finally got to shower, neither of our rooms had hot water, they were barely luke warm. And after getting home and checking bank account they charged me for 2 poolside rooms when i only had 1! Horrible experience.

The heat wasnt working properly but the staff in the daytime were very helpful. Unfortunately after being moved rooms due to cold conditions and no heat on the second floor, no quite hours were inforced by night staff and there was partying, loud music, yelling kids until 2 am. Breakfast was alright but wasn't tended to so it was missing most of the food. But the hotel is beautiful, clean, and the pool and bar are pretty cool. Just needs some updates in HVAC and thicker walls.

The pool & extension of the dining room viewed from the main building rooms was a unique feature. The carpeted areas within the hallways were very old & soiled, evidence of dog fur also. The breakfast could definitely use an update or addition options besides the basic continental breakfast. With that size of a hotel, I’d expect maybe some hot foods besides make-your-own waffles. Overal, the immediate location was great! Plenty of dining options outside and quick access to the highway.
