"The White Lion is a very quaint, cozy hotel. Our room was beautiful. Comfortable and clean. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and both were delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again."

Croft Mill - Apartments

"This was our 6th stay at Croft Mill. On this occasion we were in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor. It was spotless. The furniture was comfortable and so too was the beds, bedding and soft towels. It is also great having an allocated parking space and being in the centre of town, but a more prominent and robust notice is required regarding not parking too close to the sliding gate, rather than the flimsy paper one flapping in the wind and rain. My car got scraped along the bumper by someone pushing the gate open! The welcome breakfast box was basic, but good, but in the past has contained small samples of local produce eg cheese, bread, honey, etc which was lovely and usually resulted in us then seeking these out in the town and spending our money locally buying things to take home. Understandably I suppose cutbacks have had to be made in the current climate. In the twin bedroom, the beds were under the window, away from the wall containing the headboards and it was very draughty during the night. Also this arrangement meant that the radiator controls were difficult to reach for an elderly person. All of this being said, we WILL be back and these points are hopefully constructive feedback. Thank you Hayley."

"Excellent location near to pubs and restaurants and if you a traveling with children there is a park with a playground within walking distance. The owner is very helpful. We were traveling with our daughter and our toddler grandson to visit relatives and it worked well for our purposes. Parking is a bit of an issue. The neighbours on both sides consistently encroach on the parking spot at the front door. We had to park at the rear of the property. Given the age of the village and the neighbourhood that is not surprising. Parking seems to be a problem all over the UK. The property has been beautifully renovated and we would definitely stay there again. One note of caution, for people with mobility problems there are a lot of stairs to reach the bedrooms ."

"Room basic but clean. Facilities are slightly tired but adequate. The only slight complaint was that the shower was not much more than a dribble but the water was warm. Staff helpful and friendly. Note: Hebden Bridge is hilly and the hostel is up the hill from the town centre. It is not that far and should not put you off using the hostel"

"Thank you for a lovely holiday. The cottage was very dog friendly and there were loads of walks from the door or just a train ride away. The beds were comfortable and the bath was lovely after a long walk. The house was warm and cosy with the heating on. We cooked each night in the kitchen as it was well equipped but there were places to eat locally too which looked nice. Cake for money was great. This history of the house was also very interesting."
