Top Alta Hotel Reviews

Gold Miners Inn Grass Valley, an Ascend Collection Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The staff were very polite and helpful. A perfect home away from home."

Sierra Mountain Inn

8/10 Good

"The cabin and property were great. Donna, who checked us in, was super friendly and helpful. The cabin was rustic but charming, clean and comfortable. The fireplace stove worked perfectly and kept the cabin comfy and warm. The shower was hot and therapeutic after a day of hiking in Glacier. We enjoyed the breakfast basket as well. The overall ambiance was just great except for one detail. Train noise. Loud train noise and whistles frequently throughout the night made it almost impossible to sleep. I’m amazed that none of the other reviewers made mention of it. Maybe we’re just light sleepers though the noise was really very intrusive. Just something to be aware of. Not sure if I would stay there again. Otherwise, it was great!"

Northern Queen Inn

8/10 Good

"This is a beautiful property to stay on and so affordable. Unfortunately we ended up with a room with a leaky toilet and it ran with a high pitched squeal every ten minutes or so. closing the pocket door helped a little but this seems like something that could be maintained better. There were also several black hairs on the walls in the shower telling me it must not have been cleaned after the last guest. It was still worth the visit and is a great affordable optio walking distance from downtown NV City."

The Wildwood Cabin - Tahoe National Forest

10/10 Excellent

"We had really enjoyed the Wildwood Cabin. My kids wished we could have stayed longer! The location was perfect for our ski trip to Boreal. It was only a 20minute drive. The cabin was super clean and well-stocked with a very cozy vibe. We really appreciated the snow play gear."
