With the Bathtub/Shower combo, you can hop in for a quick refreshing shower after a warm summer day of hiking or you may choose to sink in for a long hot soak in the tub after a full day on the slopes. The washer and dryer is easily accessible in a laundry closet off of the first floor bedroom - so no need to waste precious vacation time hauling dirty items to the laundromat in town.
The large elevated deck is a gorgeous relaxation space. Available on the deck for your enjoyment is a large outdoor dining table and chairs with a gas grill for the full outdoor dining experience, comfortable patio furniture where you can drink in the mountain views along with your tasty morning brews and a gas fire pit around which you may enjoy an evening drink under the pines in the company of a thousand stars.

Good stay. Hot tub was very clean. Enjoyed the views and time on the deck. The upper bedroom is nice, because of the spiral stair case one of us slept in the lower bedroom. (Note - we are both seniors). This is our second year renting in the Alma area, we will back again next year.
We enjoyed our stay. Room for improvement but overall we enjoyed the cabin and surroundings! Beautiful view.

Alpline Haus Stay
We truly enjoyed our time at the Apline Haus. When we had talked about a mountain vacation, this home checked all the boxes. We could not have had a more perfect Christmas vacation with our children.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alpine Haus. The accommodations were perfect and the view even better! We enjoyed the hot tub on site as well. Only issue was we didnt listen to the instructions. You will need a 4 wheel drive or snow chains to get there!
Cool place perched high with great views. Location was a challenge to get to with high altitude very icy switchback roads. You’ll have to drive a way to get to anything but that’s also part of the charm.
The cabin and view is gorgeous and the property has all the amenities you could want. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. We also went into Breckenridge for dinner and it was an easy 30 minute drive. I would definitely recommend an AWD car though.
If you’re looking for a remote trip - this is perfect! The roads can be a little difficult when there’s snow - so take the 4wd and snow chains comments seriously. The owners were extremely responsive and the place was well stocked and clean. The hot tub is in a perfect location to see the stars. It truly was a perfectly relaxing vacation and we would 100% stay again!
This cabin is so adorable! Loved the decor and cozy feel. This location was perfect for our family to travel to close surrounding towns and hit some of our favorite hiking trails. Highly recommend! Be aware this elevation is very high and may take some adjustment.
We picked the house because of the location - quiet and secluded. Close to Salida and Breckenridge, it was the perfect spot for us. It had everything needed to relax and disconnect. The communication with the owner/manager was exceptional and we look forward to staying in this cabin again.
I didn’t realize the elevation of this cabin - and it was a bit rough adjusting. I’d have loved to have some furniture that was more comfortable to relax in, but the cabin was distanced away from other houses and a nice place to relax.
It was quite and peaceful the cabin was nice and well furnished the hot tub was a nice addition the property was great for us but not so much our little dog we couldn’t find a spot without stickers except the driveway for her to potty
The little squirrels kept us entertained when out on the patio
We will definitely stay again
This is a great place to get away. The view from the deck was amazing. The hummingbirds were extremely active. The hot tub was great. It wasn't a problem for my family, but so be aware that there is a full staircase from the driveway to the deck (and only entrance). We'd stay again!
The cabin was impeccably clean, with room for 5-6 people comfortably. The hot tub was one of the cleanest hot tubs I've seen at a VRBO or similar property. The view is spectacular and you truly feel secluded. The kitchen is great my only suggestion is that if you're planning on cooking all of your meals bring your own knives, but otherwise, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. :)
Quaint little cabin, secluded in the mountains. Very modern rustic, simplistic vibe. Plenty of wildlife to view on the property, including many beautiful hummingbirds. The kitchen was great and stocked with anything you may need. The home is dog friendly, and there is a cozy wraparound porch with fire pit, dining table, and grill. The porch does not have gates on the stair openings to keep the dogs contained, but is very manageable as long as your dogs are behaved and stay nearby. The property is very close to the Hossier dam for fishing and hiking (within a 5-10 minute drive). Also, only a 20-30 minute drive to Breckenridge and/or several other trailheads in the area. Highly recommend the Spruce Creek trail to Mohawk lake!

Christmas vacation
Overall our trip was wonderful.
Things to know.. Alma is at a very high elevation and altitude sickness is real. All 5 of us experienced it. We did acclimate after the first day thankfully.
The cabin is very cute and cozy but the furniture is not comfortable. There is only one bathroom that needs updating.and a much larger hot water heater. The shower ran out of hot water within 5 minutes.
Check in/out was simple and communication was easy.
Be sure to have an all terrain vehicle to get up the steep mountain.
The hot tub was wonderful and overall we had everything we needed for a great family vacation.

Not for the Non-Outdoorsy
This house is cute, on a mountain, with great views. Unfortunately, we left 3 days early because we couldn’t get our Toyota 4Runner with snow tires up to the house even though there were only a few inches of snow on the ground. We asked the host before booking if tire chains were absolutely necessary, and sent along the details of our rental SUV. They assured us, we’d be fine. After sliding backwards down the road, spinning on the corner and narrowly avoiding sliding off a cliff, we abandoned our car and had to walk 1/2 a mile up to the house. It was terrifying. Furthermore the the description of the home does not emphasize just how remote this area is. We called the non-emergency numbers for the County roads department, the state troopers and the police to inform them the car was there; all were closed. We finally called 9-1-1, and they had one person on duty all night who was just responding to accidents. We didn’t feel safe so we left the next morning. The hostess was not particularly sympathetic and didn’t offer us any compensation for the stay. Don’t stay here unless you’re prepared to rough it.
We loved our time here. The place was exactly as advertised. Will definitely be back for another stay in the near future.

Relaxing Location & Great Access for Hiking!
We had a fantastic long weekend at Alpine Haus! This roomy and comfortable cabin has incredible access to hiking, including the DeCaLiBron circuit and Mt Silverheels. The cabin is beautiful and surrounded by trees. As an extra perk, there is a secluded hot tub that worked great! I would highly recommend staying here and hope that we can make another trip soon!

Alpine Haus
The 11,000 foot altitude provided a great view of the snow on the mountains across the valley below. The inside of the house was very clean and had all the amenities you would hope for. The outside had a great deck overlooking the valley and the whirlpool in the back was very enjoyable.
Very cool cabin 30 minutes from Breckenridge. The place has everything you need for a fun getaway. Pet friendly is a plus, the family had a great time.
