Communication with owners was very good and the pool was kept clean by Claude who visited often to check everything was OK. There is a reasonable telephone signal but we quickly used up our data roaming allowance as we were there to search for a property. "I had a lovely week, away from it all, in Haute Correze. I love the area though I wasn't familiar with Ussel and its surroundings but found loads of new places to see and things to do. The accomodation was very spacious (I was alone), the dining room, kitchen and bathroom all well- equipped. I was there during a heatwave and the terrace was sometimes just too hot to sit out on, but still an asset to the property."

Not impressed, don't expect too much
"We didn't expect too much. We arrived decently late and tried to call multiple times to check how late we could check in, the first 2x the phone was not answered. We were asked if we want to see the restaurant menu but were not informed when it closes so by the time we went to the restaurant the kitchen had closed and no warm dishes were available. The room smelled a bit of cigarettes and had to be aired out. The layout was complicated with steps right after the door and a seperate toilet which as so small that we barely fit and had problems closing the door, because our legs were too long. The breakfast was ok but some things had run low or out and while we were eating it was not refilled and other used tables had not been cleared"
