"We could have done with lighter duvets as the room was to warm. We may have been able to cool it with the ventilation system but the noise would have kept us awake. The restaurant was too full for us at 9.00 on Saturday morning . We loaded up a tray which we took to our room but there were tables available, just not cleared."

"Can't get any better area by the Rhein. Luckily we have reserved a space for our car. Their car park is a few blocks behind the hotel. Just check in first then park your car. The room is a what I expected. Electric fan provided as ' no air con'. It is common for old building hotels have no air con. Perfect temperature to sleep would be in Winter. Great selction of breakfast food. Would love to come back for river view room next time. "

"Only can check in between 3 and 8. No one at check in until 3:30. Elevator is turned off until late morning so if you are on an upper floor plan on carrying your luggage down a steep circular staircase. Noise from hallway and adjoining room can be heard in your room. No soap provided. "

"It's a magnificent hilltop castle with luxurious accommodation. But it's really reasonably priced too. I have stayed there a few times, visiting from UK. Great weekend break. Views are amazing. Formal restaurant is a bit pricey. But breakfast is amazing. Highly recommended "

"We very much enjoyed our stay. The front staff spoke English and were friendly, our room was bigger than expected and had a view of the plaza which was lovely. However we stayed at the end of September and our room was very hot. We were unable to open widow all the way. And the thermostat did not work to cool the room.
