"The hotel seems to be a bit old (was told over 20 years) but the staff were very friendly and helpful when we complained about the odor in the rooms. The hotel manager Brenda was very nice. She apologized and showed us other rooms that are clean and fresh. We switched to the new rooms and was happy about it. "We had a great stay at the No. 5 Valley Lodge! The staff are very accommodating and welcoming. The hotel is located very close to the West Entrance of the park and offers rides to the entrance on days you wish to explore. On our day at the resort, there were fun activities organized by the hotel, a beautiful pool overlooking the valley, and rice fields you could walk along! If we ever return to Zhangjiajie, we will be sure to return!"
