Nice property. Great rooms. Beautiful view, if you get a beach/water view room. We had reserved a non-water view. Asked for upgrade at check in. Got the upgrade but had to pay more money, thought that was a perk with Expedia VIP, but wasn't. Nice bar area with good views and decent food. The upscale restaurant was good, but pricy. No restaurants next to hotels for food options. 15 Min walk or very short drive is the local village was is very tourist oriented and has lots of restaurants.

My wife and I just left Tivoli Carvoeiro this morning after a 3-night stay. There are many good things to say about this hotel, and I would really want to mention the following two. First, the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. In particular, our waiter at the breakfast buffet (which is wonderful by the way), Goncalo, always had a smile and made sure we got everything we need. He was so attentive and personable that we were looking forward to seeing him every morning. When we left the breakfast hall this morning we asked Goncalo whether my wife and I could take a photo with him. He graciously accepted our request and took us to a spot with a beautiful view. Thank you very much, Goncalo!!! Second, my wife celebrated her birthday during our stay at the hotel. And we were very pleasantly surprised when we came back to our room in the evening on my wife’s birthday and saw a bottle of Champagne on ice and a beautiful cake, with glasses and silverware. Such a memorable experience!

It’s a beautiful property with tremendous views. It’s a long distance from the airport and there are no activities happening at the resort and few tours that they were able to organize for guests. The front desk staff were not particularly helpful which was disappointing. I encourage people to walk into town to enjoy some of the great local food and shops. The breakfast buffet at the resort is wonderful everything else is overpriced.

Sea view with cliffs . Good breakfast with superb service/recommendations from Gonçalo. Also superb fine dining from the ONE restaurant with silver service. At 7:30 am the sounds of movement from the dining area could be heard. The one negative of the 4th floor. Otherwise one of our best holidays .

Stayed for three days here and the staff and service was excellent. We were half board and had an amazing meal first day at the restaurant in the second day we didnt feel like eating there but instead went to the bar. The restaurant told the bar we are half board and didnt charge us for our food. They even allowed us late check out without any fee.

VIP Gold Status not important enough
We were impressed with the hotel and staff in general. A big thank you to house keeping and porter Ricardo. However, On arrival at the hotel which was more than half empty (winter bookings I assumed)and after asking reception about availability for a possible upgrade, we were informed that it would cost another €70 for the privilege. I declared then that were entitled to a free upgrade if one was available, which fell on deaf ears. The reception stated that a large group were expected to block book rooms over the next few days. We were then showed a room opposite the car park which was not what we expected or resembled the one we had booked. Therefore, I reluctantly paid the difference to be upgraded if that's all they could offer. If the Tivoli hotel wish to be 5* hotel then they need to accommodate and recognise Hotel.com VIP status of regular clients who offer an honest review with great service.

A bit of heaven!
This stop came at a perfect point in our trip…after go-go-go, we were ready to relax and be spoiled, and this was a perfect place for that. What a luxurious, wonderful place! The staff was so accommodating, and the breakfast buffet was to die for. Highly recommend this fabulous hotel.

The hotel is nice and we would stay again as it’s the nicest hotel in the area. I wouldn’t class it as five star just because a few things were not up to scratch in my opinion. The staff could not be faulted they were all very pleasant and helpful above and beyond most places that we have stayed in. The rooms are average size with all the usual facilities. On this occasion I found the cleanliness wasn’t up to par and had to complain about a couple of issues but they were soon rectified. In the room we had rugs under the beds that looked a bit dirty and I would have preferred to have just tiled floor. The bath robes were on the small side I’d say max size 12 and looked like they had sent better days. The bathrooms have a glass window into the bedroom area which I wasn’t impressed with as it’s not private however there was a blind that you could pull down for privacy but there were large gaps each side that you could see through, call me old fashioned but no one wants to see their partner on the loo do they? The sun loungers were quite uncomfortable around the pool area although you could upgrade to a daybed for €100 We have stayed in lots of 5* hotels and as much as it is nearly there it didn’t quite hit the mark. The sky bar was lovely, the pool restaurant and the breakfast buffet food was really nice. Building work being carried out nearby was very noisy and meant we couldn’t sit snd enjoy relaxing on the balcony.

Beautiful hotel! The views are amazing, you have your own cave. And the rooms are extremely spacious. Very relaxing and a walkable distance to all the stores and restaurants.

The location and scenery was breath taking. I had a saeview room . The staff and service was good but they didn't upgrade mr room. This is not the first time I am eligible for an upgrade, every single time they have the same answer; Sorry , all the rooms are booked which I don't beleive it.
