This photo is a bit of special #adventure memory for me, as I took this photo the night after my birthday. While I was getting old, and thinking how small we are compared to the infinite time and scale of the universe, the glacier was saying it out loud with a rocking sound of cracking ice. Aletsch glacier - the longest glacier in the alps, but it shrinks every year, and it might disappear one day. I could have easily stayed there the whole night, but I had to go, as in the morning I had to run half marathon up and along the slopes of the glacier again.

Amazing spa, but disappointing room versus the photos. 2 star quality, 3 at best. The hotel itself is old. Twin room with single beds pushed together sold as a standard double, taxi service was late, parking arrangements didn't appear to be well coordinonated. Staff friendly however.
