Great accommodations, great location. Outstanding host. My pets enjoyed the stay as much as I did.
Property was great. Location was awesome - on the lake. Host was tremendous. Would stay there again. Property had everything you need.

Quaint place on the lake
Small quaint place that was stocked with essentials. We didn’t use them but it’s nice to see a place fully furnished if needed. We were in town for a wedding so we didn’t spend much time there or outside (it rained the entire weekend). But being close to the lake provided a nice view. My only negative was it wasn’t as clean as we would have expected. When we pulled back the blankets, there was a lot of dog hair and dead moth. Understandably this is a cabin, but lots of spiders and webs and dead bugs on floor. Which made it hard for my infant child to crawl around.

It was really nice.
It was really nice. The home was really nice it was beautiful there. The house was amazing and I loved the lake front property. The only thing I did not like it did not have cell service there and no internet

Thank you for staying at Prairie Lake. We are in a location that does not offer internet. Our best bet is satellite but that too is not very good quality. If you are reading the reviews, The best cell phone service Verizon. If you don’t have Verizon enjoying time off the devices is going to be your best option. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay.

Nice weekend getaway.
Just what we needed after the stresses of planning our wedding. Thank you to my mom and dad for this wedding gift. The property was very clean and nice.

Came up for a family reunion. Price/size/location were perfect for our family and dog. Beautiful views. Was aware of lack of wifi but wish we would have known about minimal cell reception as well.

1st time in Albion
Spoke with the owner a week before. He assured us he wanted us to have a great and relaxed time; to consider his cottage as a our second home and not hesitate to call him if we needed anything. Matt also told us the highlighted places to visit. He was correct on all accounts. My grandchildren 1-6 years loved the water, the games, firepit and the kayaks, awed by all the knick/knacks. Our family and friends impressed how well stocked with amneties and the cleanliness. Everyone thought the cottage layout, the lakefront and dock had an easy flow to move around, the landscape and lake was quite pleasing. We are anxious to come back and tentatively in our minds already planning for a fall trip. This is a gem of a place!!!

Lake Cabin on Prairie Lake
Our cabin was very nice and cozy plus it came with a beautiful setting...lake front! The cabins nearby were nice as well with friendly visitors. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Clean but cluttered. Listing didn’t explain parking above with stairs. We had people with bad knees,making the stairs an issue. No instructions for anything,like the remotes,appliances. Dishwasher didn’t run appropriately. We had to supply other trash bags,only had one. We brought paper towels and a lighter,none provided. Towel’s were wet,we dried in the dryer No top sheets on beds,found them tossed on a shelf,not folded Card table would have been nice,hard to play games

To be fair the picture of the stairs is the photos description. Explaining a tv remote is not necessary. An electric stove, microwave & toaster are only appliances. Don’t stick fork in toaster or use in tub. I noticed by the sink full of dishes you left there must have been an issue with the dish washer. However seemed to be working post stay. I will update instructions for use. Trash bags are in cupboard next to the trash can. Providing Trash bags is not in description but there are plenty. Many lighters have been put there. However Providing a lighter is also not in the description. Full size folding dinning table is provided. Full 8 man Poker table is in shed & poker chips can also be found in cottage. Perfect for card games. As discussed with guest in a text. I was on vacation and substitute cleaner didn’t thoroughly dry towels. However they were clean and folded. If you are reading the review, the cottage is for self sufficient people and I will be the first to say it won’t be perfect. Please do not rent the house/property if you are fussy or need assistances with common household items. It is a full lake house and priced more than appropriate for what you are getting.

Matt was very helpful was a little tricky parking and carrying everything down and up the stairs, but we were very grateful to get out of the hustle and relax. Great granddaughter caught lots of bluegills and we used the kayaks to go swimming very fun

Lake get away
Matt was easy to talk to and was there if we needed anything…comfy beds…a little tough to park but cannot beat the lake view and the gorgeous sunsets.. cabin has a lot of character. Great place to just relax.

GREAT place
It is a very cozy homey cottage. The host and his wife are very nice and accommodating. The beds are super comfortable and the sunsets are amazing. Have done a fishing vacation, at many different locations, for many years but this is by far the best place ever! The fishing wasn't great, but so far this year fishing isn't great any where, but the place was so nice that didn't even matter! Will definitely be back next year!!

We were celebrating an anniversary. The weekend was very peaceful. The first night it rained and we put a puzzle together. Enjoyed a bonfire the second night. We loved watching the geese and the goslings. The king bed was fabulous and the cottage had my favorite pillow. Couldnt ask for a nicer place.

Small family place with great views
Awesome lake view with beautiful sunsets. Secluded property that forces you off electronic devices (no WiFi) and we had great time playing board games. Excellent host that cares about people and your experience. Definitely worth the price.

Host was great to work with and speedy to reply. Relaxing atmosphere, and we appreciated the puzzles and games provided. It was roomier than we were expecting and pleased to find out that there were several tv channels available, since a different review had led me to believe there would not be tv service. So much better than staying in a hotel! Less than 15 min drive from Albion college. Looking forward to a repeat stay next time we visit our student

The Cabin was great for our needs, we spent a weekend ice fishing on the lake. The cabin was a nice retreat to warm up with some soups for lunch and relax at night. It took us awhile to find the fish but ended up limiting out our second day. Thanks for the great weekend escape!

A great little getaway
My wife and I enjoyed a short stay here while in the area visiting family for Thanksgiving. Matt was a wonderful host, very communicative and made checking in a breeze. The cabin is cute, woodsy, and comfortable. There was even a brewed pot of coffee waiting for us when we arrived!

The perfect getaway.
I would highly recommend this little cabin by the lake! The host Matt was very easy to communicate with. The cabin was spacious and a nice space to hang out in. The kitchen has all the needed cooking dishes and utensils. The main bedroom had a comfortable bed. The backyard is very spacious and the view was breathtaking. This was the perfect little getaway spot. There is no wifi, but honestly it was really nice to unplug and just relax and spend time together as a couple. I really hope to return again!

Escape to the lake
This was just what was needed for myself and my husband. He fished the days away with our dog beside him and I read, read, read. The lake was so soothing from the start of the day with a cup of coffee to hearing the crickets as the sun goes down. Thank you Matt for allowing us to escape the world at your lake house!

Cozy Cottage
Matt was great at communicating from the moment we booked until the time we left. This home was rented for a stay for my parents' wedding anniversary. They found the setting to be relaxing and comfortable. With immediate access the the lake out the front door, the dock was more than accommodating of our 24' pontoon. Days were spent relaxing on the patio looking out over the water, grilling, and watching television indoors. An early evening cruise around the lake and early morning fishing really set the mood for each day.
