"I chose this hotel primarily because of its convenient location near the bus station. It was ideal for both arrival and departure and within easy walking distance of the old town. The spa with a small pool was also a nice feature.
The room itself, while somewhat dated, was reasonably well maintained. That said, I did find a long strand of hair on the bidet upon check-in, which was not a great first impression.
The bigger issue was the service. The evening receptionist who checked me in was pleasant and friendly, but seemed unable to answer even basic questions about the area. When I asked for a restaurant recommendation, she appeared unsure how to respond. After I selected a restaurant myself, she was unable to provide directions. She also could not tell me what type of cuisine the hotel restaurant served or whether it would be open for lunch the following day.
The most disappointing interaction occurred on the morning of my departure. I asked whether a late checkout might be possible. This was a weekday in June, well outside the peak tourist season, and the hotel appeared far from full. Rather than checking availability or explaining the policy, the receptionist immediately refused with a stern expression.
Overall, the location is the hotel's strongest asset. The accommodations were acceptable, but the lack of local knowledge and the unhelpful attitude of some staff members detracted significantly from the experience."
