Motel 6 Livingston, TX
8/10 Good
"Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and in good shape except refrigerator freezer was frozen into a block of ice...needed defrosting. Overall happy with my stay."
"This is a factual report, and not an emotional one.
The manager is a kind, helpful person, but is the sole operator.
I was in a room, which when I walked in was clean-looking.
There was a light on, I had food in my hand, so I didn't bother to turn on any others. I sat on the bed to eat as there was no chair in the room.
When I finished, I prepared to go to sleep because I got in late, I noticed flying insects at the top of the vanity mirror. It was only about 2 or 3, at first.
So, I took care of them thinking maybe they flew in when I walked in. But after I disposed of them more appeared.
I proceeded to turn on all the lights in the room because it just seemed like they were coming from somewhere in the ceiling, and then I noticed that there were more insects in different parts of the room in the ceiling.
This is when I checked my bed, and found something, don't know what it was, but something in the bed along with hair follicles.
I went back to the front desk and asked for another room, explaining the situation.
The manager gave me another room, but it was right next to the last room.
I walked into that room, turned on all the lights, and proceeded to check the room.
I only found one insect, but it was clear, on the wall, that other people had encountered large insects as they were splattered on different parts of the wall.
You get what you pay for, so take this with a grain of salt."

"The ac worked great.. The room stayed cold. However the room was dusty and had not been swept. The night shade didn’t work. I didn’t call the front desk to have the items fixed because we got in late. The carpet in the hall had not been vacuumed. The bed was soft and clean. The bathroom door wouldn’t close because a piece of the door was broken. Not sure I would stay again."
"Machines is breakfast area we’re not working. Vending machines did not working. Cleaning staff left used towels in room and did not replenish soap in room. Tried going to front desk and could not get a response. Individuals drinking in parking lot and playing loud music until early hours!"
"The property was dirty. The room was dirty and smelled. Everything was outdated in the room. Several lamps had no light bulb. The electric outlets on the lamps were not working. The toilet paper holder was broken and just barely hanging on the wall. Linen and pillows were old and not fresh. Pillows were small, flat, and lumpy. Mattresses were old and hard. Based on all this I avoided and skipped breakfast."

"Overall, the house nice and the area is quiet and pretty. However, we were not aware that the washer wasn't working when we arrived and had planned to use it while on the trip. It would have been nice to have been made aware that the washer wasn't working before we arrived. Having extra towels would have been nice seeing as how the washer wasn't working. Otherwise, the house was clean and enjoyable."
"Fantastic place to stay the host was welcoming and easy to communicate with and the home was very clean and had all amenities needed. Our family thoroughly enjoyed this place and will be visiting again! "
