Relax in this beautiful beach-front park, perfect for adults and children alike.
Al Mamzar Park, a 106-hectare beach-front space, is the perfect place to relax for the day with the whole family. You’ll find excellent amenities here, such as barbecues and picnic sites as well as play areas and supervised bathing. Kids can let off steam whilst you soak up the sun.
Wander through park along the network of footpaths, past beautifully landscaped gardens. You’ll find many unusual desert plants as well as palm and coconut trees. In the centre of the park there’s an 8 metre tower that you can climb, from which you will be able to see into Sharaj, a neighbouring emirate. You can hire bicycles from the park’s hire service if you feel like exploring at a faster pace, or take a seat in one of the park train’s carriages for a leisurely tour.
You’ll find plenty of activities dotted throughout the park. There are many different play areas for children offering climbing frames, swings and tunnel slides. Older children and adults can choose from football pitches, roller-skating and skateboarding parks, and basketball courts. Alternatively, the open grassy areas are perfect for impromptu ball games for all the family.
For a more peaceful experience, head to one of the park’s five perfect white sand beaches to paddle in the surf or just lie back and relax. Bathing is supervised by lifeguards and changing rooms and parasols are available. Alternatively, for a small entrance fee, take a dip in the park’s large swimming pool. It is divided into 3 different areas for children and adults, so you’ll find the perfect spot for your group. This is also permanently supervised, and there are changing rooms and showers.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite, there are picnic spots and free-to-use barbecues, complete with seating and umbrellas. If you haven’t brought any food with you, don’t worry, as the park includes several restaurants and snack bars. You can even rent out a private chalet for the day. Al Mamzar Park is open daily, but Wednesdays are strictly for women and children only. A small fee is charged for admission. The park is approximately 20 minutes’ drive from downtown Dubai. Take a taxi, or if driving, paid parking is available inside and outside the park.
