This hotel is central - parking options not clear when you drive up (hotel spots are limited - street parking just below the hotel available). Rooms are clean and welcoming; lots of outlets for charging electronics; small space for spreading out (family of three). Two restaurants on the property for fine dining and a bistro; we opted for Thai for something different - we enjoyed it very much. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great location. Lots of dining and shopping in walking distance. No hotel parking, but there is a loading/unloading area in front of the hotel and free parking within walking distance. Our room windows were facing the stairs for the nearby church/tourist site, so not as quite or private as I would have liked.

The location can't be beat for hotel Kea, smack dab in the center of Akureyri, yet quiet enough that in early morning your sleep isn't disturbed. The staff was friendly, and parking was very easy. Our only complaint is the rooms were incredibly small and the photos are deceiving. The TV as an example is tucked into an office nook and cannot be accessed and seen from the bed. For a one night stay though it was quaint, comfortable, and convenient.
