"This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but it exceeds expectations. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was exciting and delicious, and the decor was creative with plants, travel information, and themes of Okinawa. Great for young or independent travelers who like a taste of multiculturalism. My parents in their late 50s also loved it and found it entertaining. Note: the bathroom facilities were a little rugged, if that's important to you."

"This hotel is a real gem - one of the best we've found in Japan. It's small, only 12-15 rooms, but very well appointed -- the rooms are large (by Japanese standards) and modern. The staff were very friendly, the onsen was excellent, and the food was terrific! The hotel is out in the countryside, and is not far from the Akiyoshido Cave, which is the primary attraction in the region."
