9/10 Wonderful! (792 reviews)
If you are looking for quiet and serenity this place has it - however, falls short on the ‘luxury’ title and price. Pros - beautiful outlook from room, very quiet , can’t hear neighboring rooms. Black out curtains were great. Room size is generous. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was nice. Cons - upon checking in, we signed a paper and then told directions to go downstairs to our room. Corridors were dark and cold and uninviting. King size bed was two twins pushed together and had a huge dip in the middle. Couch and furniture is very tired with marks and holes in fabric. Bathroom was okay - but all soap and body wash were in random bottles with label maker written labels on them. Surprised they aren’t using local products to promote the luxury. Milk and tea provided as well as biscuits in a jar.. not wrapped, so not sure how hygienic that is ,The outdoor spa is incredibly old. I think it hasn’t been replaced since they opened (20 years ago?) A massive crack in the plastic and was cold 33C on arrival.. it wasn’t hot enough to use until after 7pm that night. Dinner food was okay, but the atmosphere was Awkward. In a large conference room there were 6 tables of two sitting and waiting, looking at each other. No dim lighting or ambience. The menu was riddled with spelling errors, again, does not align with luxury feel. The $20 cocktail ordered came out in the same glass my orange juice did with no garnish or pizzaz. The accommodation needs a massive update!
