"breakfast portions were huge. didn't get a chance to check out the pool. the bathroom was good too, however there's no fan or vent so it gets quite steamy and stuffy after each shower. bed was big and comfy, there was AC though i didn't use it much because the heat was very mild during my stay. the room's window did not open so that was a bit weird. the outside of the hotel scared me initially on arrival, but the interior of the hotel is quite modern and clean. staff was friendly and it was overall a decent experience and budget friendly option right in the middle of downtown."

"I stayed at the Sonesta for almost a week while in Cairo. The room was spacious and comfortable, my bed was very comfortable. The entire hotel is well maintained and up-to-date. The staff were attentive and polite, though as a hotel that hosts numerous travel groups it can be very busy. The location is well situated close to the airport, but it is probably half an hour by car from major attractions. One plus is that it is just 10-15 minutes’ walk from the Stadium metro station should you wish to see Cairo that way."

"What a first class hotel this is! The staff are impeccable and delivered a world class service from every single member. We were greeted by the door staff every time we returned from a trip with "Welcome home " The piano player in the bar was fantastic. Sky bar had spectacular view. The bar staff were exceptional , and attentive in particular Hadder and Ahmed they really are outstanding. The hotel is central and views are amazing of the city and the Nile. Amenities were 5 star from the variety of restaurants, gardens, pool and grandeur of the hotel generally. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Thank you to all of you for making our stay so special."

"The place was excellent—very beautiful, very clean, spacious, and comfortable—and located close to central Cairo. Excellent place around a mall and supermarket, very nice and beautiful. However, the problem was the language barrier; you really need to speak Arabic, as they never replied to my emails, and all communication took place over the phone. Fortunately, I was with my partner, who speaks Arabic; otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to communicate with them at all."
