"Outstanding in all ways. From personal and friendly pick-up at the airport by our host, to superb breakfast buffet in a glass garden room, featuring house-made specialties (such as fruit sauce made from grapes in the garden), and carefully appointed room in historic building in an interesting, walkable neighborhood outside of central bustle, but a 5 minute walk to all sights."

"Silvia's apartment is beautiful; it was spotlessly clean, everything we could need was provided and it was extremely comfortable. Its location is ideal and Silvia provided lots of useful extras, including a selection of goodies and the use of her bicycles, all of which were welcomed. We strongly recommend her apartment to anyone travelling to Ferrara."

Villa Horti della Fasanara
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, 76 reviews
"A piece of the countryside within the city’s walls, the hotel is located away from the old town. It is best suited to visitors coming by car or to those ready to use bicycles to get around locally. For us it was delightful to walk through the quiet city with its fine Renaissance mansions to get to and from the hotel which is located close to the north west section of the city’s surrounding ramparts. The garden setting is attractive, our room was comfortable and was kept clean and a fine...

"Excellent quiet location set away from the city with vineyard views. Outstanding restaurant and character bar - wonderful prices after the bigger cities. Hotel and rooms a little quirky in a good way - only downside is lack of air conditioning when 25C (80F) at night. Easy walk or cycle into town. Secure location to leave cars while exploring city. Great staff - even without English menu and limited English with waiter he ascertained what we wanted, liked and delivered accordingly. Watch...

D'Elite R&B
7.6 out of 10, Good, 34 reviews
"We had stayed 9 years before and were very disappointed on our return visit. The room was run down and mould was evident in many places in the bathroom. Towels were rarely changed and the kitchenette was useless as their were no utensils, cleaning equipment, plates, cups or cutlery. The fridge which was advertised on their web site was not working either. Breakfast was standard and the dining area was outside our ground floor room which was rather noisy especially as it was also a restaurant...
