A great weekend away in the woods. Loved the property and the view! We loved bird watching, listening to the frogs, and exploring the trail behind the house. 5 stars. Thanks!
The cottage was clean and comfortable for our stay! We planned an ATV trip and the cottage was only a few kilometers away which made it easy for us to enjoy the trails. Having a shower is a game changer when going for an ATV ride in the summer time.
We will for sure be returning to continue the rest of the trail!
We drove in late, the check in process was smooth and easy as we were given the access code to unlock the door to the property, all pertinent details were listed in the welcome brochure.
Lot to do in the area, hiking trails and the lookout on the property which provided serene views with local wildlife. The host recommended ATV trails on the property and in the vicinity (Trans Canada Trail), based on her recommendation, we brought our ATV's and we had a wonderful time riding the trails. If you want added adventures you are short drive from Bon Echo park.
I highly recommend this location and property, very clean with amenities provided by the host, and everything is new including the property.
I would defienetely stay at the property again in the near future, thank you Sadhana and JP for making my stay memorable.
Sadhana was a wonderful, prompt and informative host. We enjoyed our stay at her property this summer and would recommend it to others looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway.
The house was quiet, bright, large and modern with a well appointed kitchen and comfortable bedrooms/living room. The bathrooms were clean and well shocked with plenty of hot water. The washing machine and dryer were new and handy, and washing supplies were provided.
Sadhana gave us plenty of ideas of activities to do in the area and we also enjoyed day trips to Bon Echo, Picton, Prince Edward County and Desoronto. Sandbanks Winery, Bocatino Tapas Restaurant, the bookstore in Tamworth, Milligan's Meats, and The O'Conner English Tea Room were all highlights.
We love to cook and did have to get sharper knives in order to prepare nice meals and cut locally purchased produce. If you're planning on preparing meals, perhaps bring a knife or two. Everything else was great!
One minor negative was the BBQ. It seemed like the previous occupants had made a mess of it, leaving spilt grease and leftover fish pieces inside of it. We were unable to find anything to clean it properly so we decided not to use it. We did try to start it after changing the tank (provided) but were unsuccessful (perhaps user error).
There were lots of clean chairs outside to enjoy the beautiful views. We especially liked the patio off of the spacious and bright master bedroom.
Thank you for a nice and relaxing stay!

We had a great stay at this cozy cottage. It was peaceful, close to the road, and perfect for the four of us. Everything matched the description, and most things were clean—just a few spots that could use a little extra attention. The host was quick to respond to any questions, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a good time and would be happy to come back!
