"It was a wonderful day. The hosting family are fantastic. The house is incredibly located to all the natural visitation sites. I woke up one morning and walked down to the Glenfinnan viaduct approximately 1/2 mile do it first light and the bridge belongs to you and the red stag that showed up as I was approaching the bridge two of them actually the hotel next to the home has an amazing catering staff book a reservation. "Old, poorly run. This hotel must’ve been very grand at one point, but it has been poorly kept, and it was very rundown and Old . the bathrooms were in disrepair."

"Fabulous location on Loch, sweeping views from bar and restaurant. Rooms ok, a little dated, super spa with decent pool, steam and sauna. Leisure centre looks well equipped. High season room rates understandable. Bizarre trek from hotel restaurant to breakfast buffet. An enjoyable overnight stay."

"We stayed for 5 nights whilst travelling around the area. We were met with a lovely friendly face of Ria who checked us in & gave us information regarding breakfast & dinner times etc. there’s a lovely lounge area with fabulous views over Loch Lihnne, also a bar, Scott the barman was also so friendly. It was nice to have a chat with him. In addition to the restaurant, you can have bar food. We ate a couple of times in the evening and the food was absolutely delicious! Very generous portions too. The breakfast was fabulous and the young ladies working in the restaurant were all so friendly & cheerful. There was entertainment on two evenings whilst we were there but only caught it the one time. The young lady was a beautiful singer! Everywhere was immaculately clean; dogs are welcome in the hotel but there wasn’t any “doggy” smell or anything. We paid for a loch view room (so glad that we did, the sunsets were incredible) the beds were so comfy!! A choice of 1 or 2 pillows. Coffee, tea & pots of milk were supplied which was smashing after a day of walking. The shower was great and although the bedroom was quite small, it suited us perfectly! I would most definitely stay here again when we next come up to Scotland, our stay was perfect. Made even more so by the cheerful helpful staff of Ria, Amy, Scott and the young ladies in the restaurant. Thank you, see you all again in the not so far future!"

Base Camp Hotel Nevis Range

2/10 Terrible

"The staff tried their best but didn't have have much to work with. The lift didn't work and from previous reviews hadn't for quite some time. The cafe had no hot meals during our stay and the sites is quite a way out of town. The car park was an unpaved mess. Clothes hanging very limited and the TV was a cast to only, no live TV. The shower was quite good."

"Beautiful location, perfect for exploring and taking day trips. The trailer was very cute, stunning view overlooking the loch and mountains. The only thing, the single beds were so tiny and it could have a few basic necessities, like salt and pepper for example and towels and duvet covers included. But overall we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful."

The Garrison

8/10 Good

"We enjoyed our stay at the Garrison. The location was convenient and the space was great for our family of 5. The Garrison is just a quick walk away from the main street with restaurants, tourist shops, and a grocery store. It is also not a far walk from the Cow Hill trail. The apartment was clean and cozy. There is a washer/dryer but you will have to provide your own laundry detergent. We left our container behind for the next visitors. Having some on-hand for travelers would be helpful so as to not have to purchase a large container. This was of no fault of the Garrison, but we did not have WiFi while we were there. I hope this issue has been rectified for those who might need WiFi for work and to stay connected to loved ones. Overall, we had a great stay and would rebook again with the Garrison."
