"Stayed for a week in this cottage with fabulous views. Very clean and just about everything you need. We were only missing a corkscrew and egg cups, but anything else you need is there. Not quite as homely as we would have hoped as the cottage is quite sparse, but still had a wonderful time. Great to be able to access the canal and take a nice long walk to Neptune’s staircase from the cottage!"

"The accommodation was to a high standard and very comfortable with stunning views. Lismore is a wonderful, tranquil island, rich in wildlife and beautiful scenery. Otters and seals spotted daily from the accommodation. Mother otter and pup seen at Point and Port Ramsay during the day. Loved watching the nesting birds and geese with small goslings. Hope to be back."

"The cottage was clean, cozy, and much larger than I expected! It was in a fairly out of the way location (but not far at all from Oban) that was great for avoiding city traffic. Our host Maureen was very nice and friendly and If/when we travel back to Scotland, and plan on visiting Oban, we would happily stay here again."

The traditional Scottish fare is abundant and appealing, with seamless accomodations for diets. "A great property in a fabulous location and very well equipped too. Andrew was extremely helpful and responsive and we were made to feel welcome and valued. Red deer stags walking past your front door, a sighting of a pine marten, eagles soaring overhead and an otter swimming in the mirror like water. A little taste of paradise!"

"We have stayed in vrbo properties around the UK for years and this might be our favorite so far. Immaculate, roomy, with easy access to the roads to take our family of five on many hikes and adventures while having a cozy home base to return to when we were done with our day. "We absolutely loved this cottage, peaceful location with stunning views of a 13th Century castle with hens, deer and bird life in your 'front garden'. Very clean and wonderful walks to the loch through woodland. Aldo great location to reach other parts of this wonderful isle of Mull. Richard and Kirsty are also are brilliant hosts. We're planning a return next year."

"We had a great time at this home! The owners were very responsive when we had an initial hiccup with the heating which was much appreciated. Oban is a good home base for exploring the islands and Highlands and having a private parking space was a real luxury. Hiking up to the secret patio above the house for whisky or wine before dinner was fun, especially since the sun didn’t set until 11 when we were there. The views of the harbor from every room are gorgeous. We’d definitely rent here again!"

"The staff at the Great Western went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Ami at the front desk is a gem. Leaving the hotel and Oban was so hard because it felt like like I was leaving family. There were tears. Is it possible to feel homesickness for a place in which you’ve never lived? Can’t wait to go back someday. "
