"We had an absolutely brilliant few days in the new bothy. We stayed here a few years ago in a motorhome in a gorgeous location and returned to stay in the Loch Fyne bothy which is brand new in 2025.
All facilities are included right down to a bottle opener. The bothy was spotless and the view is to die for, easy access to a Track for walking the dog or walking distance to the Creagan inn for food and drink."

"Used dirty glasses in the room, green emergency exit light had broken casing so the room was lit up green difficulty sleeping as a result. Tea making facilities in room, shower was good with lovely products."
"The staff was excellent! We rolled in at 8:45 and the restaurant closed at 9. The receptionist called the restaurant and asked them to get us a table ready. The restaurant staff was great! They did not mind that we came in so close to closing! "
"Room very clean and modern, staff excellent - really cheery and willing to accommodate your requests, breakfast good value. Finally great views from the lounge "
"Room a reasonable size although the bed a little snug for a double. On the whole the hotel was good although felt a little sparse in places due to its size. Breakfast was very good - a lot of choice and well prepared. with an amazing view of the surrounding hills."
"Spacious, comfortable room. Staff need a few lessons in manners, attentiveness and dress code.
Breakfast okay, nothing to write home about. Staff wore jeans, trainers and blouses, not quite what I would have expected. One member of staff in breakfast room rather rude. We ordered breakfast both without sourdough toast and asked for brown toast separately. Breakfast arrived served on top of brown toast, not separate as requested. I said we had asked for it separate and she went to take plate away. I said just to leave it and bring toast separately. She returned with one slice in a toast rack. I said I had requested toast for 2 on the side. She grabbed the toast rack and said if you tell me what you want I will get it. Strange I thought I already had!
Had requested a room with bath in message to hotel prior to arrival. None available but not even acknowledged by Receptionist, just said none available.
At checkout we weren't asked how our stay was, but did offer have a nice day as we were leaving.
Such a shame, as this used to be our go to Hotel in Oban since it first opened, but that is definitely our last visit"
"Rooms were clean, staffwas courteous enough. The location of hotel is very convenient to reach places and also for food. The hotel is on high street and boat rides are just across the road. There is limited parking infront of hotel.
Down sides are on-going construction which make sit a bit noisy during day and also dusty. The suites were behind the main bulding without any lifts, so we had to carry our luggage upstairs without any help from staff.
The rooms deco was good. Two downsides were the power shower has very poor pressure and they should consider upgrading the electric shower to one with pumps. Other down side was that the sofa bed was very uncomfortable due to springs from mattress would abutt against the body. Property should consider upgrading that as well. The hot breakfast has only one option for vegetarians and should provide more options for £12 charged.
All in all, it was a bittersweet experience.
I hope in new ongoing construction work, property will consider some of the suggestions.
When we go next time to Fort williams, i will shortlist this place as one of the options but would go for some other if available. "
