The hotel is located right on the beach, but it is a rocky beach so I could've have a relaxing walk. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was good.

Lovely hotel

This hotel is quite a distance from the centre; it's about 40 mins drive from Kotoka airport (longer depending on horrific evening traffic).There are no local restaurants or amenities which means you are reliant on taxis to get out and about. However the hotel is set in beautiful grounds by the sea. There is a lot of outdoor space to chill and a swimming pool that is kept clean (you see it being cleaned daily). There is also a nice lounge/bar area which is open 24/7. The hotel has a nice vibe with music playing throughout the day. My room on the second floor was totally adequate, a nice comfy bed, mirrors, desk, safe etc and there was daily housekeeping (I think they should get rid of the rugs and cushions which can be unhygienic). The room is well stocked with bottled water daily and a variety of teas and coffee. There's also a fridge. There are plenty of sockets though you have to move the furniture to get to some of them.The ensuite has a good shower however although clean, needs desperately to be re-grouted as It had the appearance of being grubby. The terrace was a nice space overlooking the pool and sea. The big let down for me was the restaurant. Given there is no easy access to restaurants in the area, every effort should be made for the restaurant to be the best it can be. The portions are huge but lacking in taste and flavour . It's Africa. Do African cuisine!

An average hotel… the location bit far from the city center. But good for hideout and like it’s beach location. Prices of $130 a night for the room doesn’t match the quality of service. Breakfast is okay. Honestly I’m not looking forward to go back. Same or lower amount can get a hotel in the city center with better service.

The staff provided excellent service. The lobby was beautiful. The rooms were dated. Some of the electric sockets did not work. The prices for cleaning a woman shirt was not clear. They need a posted price listThe Not enough drawers for clothing. Dining choices were limited. The same for breakfast. The staff service excellent

Das Tradionshotel am Beach Drive hieß früher Dutch Hotel, viele nehnen es heute noch so. Direkt am Strand gelegen haben alle Zimmer einen Balkon zum Meer, um auf die beeindruckenden Wellen zu schauen, der Brandung zu lauschen und sich von einer leichten Brise erfrischen zu lassen. Das überwiegend lokale Essen wird frisch zubereitet, auch ein Grund weshalb das Hotel von der lokalen Bevölkerung geschätzt wird. Sonntags ab 12:00 Uhr treffen sich viele auf Terasse und im Garten. Der Stadtteil Nungua liegt am Rand von Accra und ist so lebendig wie solche Bereiche in großen Hauptstädten sind. Freitagabend wird das Wochenende eingefeiert, dem vielstündigen Freitagsgebet der Gospel-Kirche gegenüber, kann bei geöffneter Zimmertür gefolgt werden. Auf der großen Terrasse hingegen beruhigt das Meeresrauschen die Seele. Der Service ist großartig! Viele sehr, sehr freundliche und helfende Menschen. Die direkte Meereslage erfordert sehr große Anstrengungen zum Unterhalt der ganzen Anlage. So werden z.B., alle großen Glasflächen der Bar (selbstverständlich mit Pianospieler) täglich geputzt. Niemand kann dauerhaft die Natur aufhalten, so sieht man manchmal dem Hotel die lange Vergangenheit an. Für uns zählte das zum zurückhaltenden Charme des Hauses, afrikanisch-freundlich, authentisch und überaus gastfreundlich. Die gesamte Infrastruktur funktioniert prima. Warmwasser, Klimaanlage, WiFi, Sauberkeit etc., alles tadellos. Wir waren Anfang August 2023 hier. Dicke Empfehlung!

The property is a secure compound. We liked our room and view of ocean and pool. We enjoyed the pool and live music. The house keeping staff and pool attendant were great! The food servers were tired and very slow and inattentive which is common and to be expected in Ghana. Our water went off at least three times while we were showering. Each time they restored the water not too long after. It took 2hrs and three calls to room service to get a small portion of ice cream delivered to our room. The lobster I ordered was cold and not fresh. It smelled bad to me so I sent it back and couldn’t eat it. I ordered vanilla ice cream for my wife by the pool side but they ran out of vanilla and had to supplemented with some freeze dried strawberry something. The kitchen/food services are not well managed at all. There’s obvious building maintenance issues being neglected ie: door hardware, paint, furniture and roof. The grounds are very well kept but the beach was littered with garbage as are most beaches in Ghana. It was our third stay here but appears to be under different management then last time.
