Wonderful staff and close to my office, I enjoyed my stay at the MJ Grand. I wish they had: a shelf of any size in the bathroom to put my things, a shelf or caddy in the shower, a much improved workout room - more of the machines were broken than were usable. But overall, it was a good stay. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was great everyday.

The staff was exceptionally courteous. My room was comfortable and well-appointed. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The pool is attractive, and the location is centrally situated, providing convenient access to most areas of interest. Key attractions are within a 15-minute drive, while other destinations are generally accessible within 30 minutes or less. I have already made arrangements to return for a few days next week during the New Year’s holiday. Overall, I am highly impressed not only with the quality of the accommodations but also with the amenities and the professionalism of the staff. This is the reason I am awarding a five-star rating.

There was no hot water in shower, and shower did not work so water did not come out of the top. No bedside light, as bedside lights were wired into the main light. Quality of the breakfast was not great. Cereal was stale, and only instant coffee. We chose the hotel partly because it had a gym and pool. But the 'gym' looked more like a storage room and had no air conditioning. The pool looked murky. Given these problems, the price was high.

I liked the food in the restaurant. I didn’t like that we paid for large family suites, but they gave our suites to others and then gave us lesser rooms although I showed them my itinerary from Expedia and what we paid for and they just didn’t have the rooms. We booked two of the same rooms and we were robbed out right.

The staff is generally professional and friendly and tries to accommodate guests various needs. The hotel is ideally located in East Legon which is close to the airport and close to the metropolitan area of new Accra as well as the old city. In addition, the buffet breakfast at the hotel includes both tasty Ghanaian dishes as well as continental breakfast. All around the experience at the at this property is a good deal!
