A Relaxing Romantic Getaway in the Heart of Cajun Country

Located in the heart of downtown Abbeville is St. Charles Cottage, Abbeville's newest B&B property. Originally built in the 1940s, it has been recently renovated and is the perfect setting for a relaxing/romantic getaway. Upon entering the cottage, our guests step onto a simply inviting front porch that beckons them to stay for awhile. The living area of 1100 plus sq. ft. offers a living room, kitchen/dining room combination, a bedroom, bath w/shower and a spacious dressing room. We hope that you will want to share with us the ambiance of our Cajun Culture.

Perfect for our needs

Everything with the stay was perfect for what we needed. It was perfectly placed and everything with our stay went well. The owner was also very proactive and clear on communication from the check in period to our departure.

This was like staying at your best friends house. ANY thing you could want was there, graet hostess, beautiful home. Close to every spot we nedded. And the breakfast was the best. We would recommend this wonderful home to everyone we know.

Very welcoming and clean! I love the set up and so much available if we needed it! Kitchen is well stocked! Would highly recommend!!! We would stay again if ever in the area! Great Place to Stay

I was in town for work for three weeks. The house is stocked with anything you might need. It has plenty of space and is in a great location. Debbie was a wonderful host. She brought breakfast every morning and checked in on me. The house was also spotless.

Great weekend getaway

My husband & I stayed here for a short weekend getaway. Debbie was more than accommodating with all the little extras from a small thing of milk in the fridge to toothpaste if you forgot it like we did. There was road work going on when we came in town on Friday & Debbie met us at the Buger King around the corner to guide us in. As soon as we got out of the car at the house she greets us with a hug. We felt her warm welcome from the very beginning. The breakfast pastries were wonderful each morning. We can’t wait to book again but stay longer next time.

Our stay at St. Charles was wonderful. We loved the vibe of this cottage style home. We especially enjoyed the porch for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Debbie, our host, brought breakfast to the porch for us every morning, and was responsive to all of our needs. The home creatively decorated, with beautiful antique furniture in the rooms, and an updated kitchen/bath.Overall, a great experience. Reall good Cajun food at restaurants in area (Shucks, Riverfront) and a great Italian place around the corner. Amazing!

We were so impressed when we arrived! The cottage is so nice and cozy and stocked with everything you could possibly need! So clean and well kept! You can tell a lot of thought and care was put into to it make sure you have the best possible experience. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, which is not what we've seen at most other B&Bs.
