"Quality is the same as always - simply outstanding"
This was my sixth visit, each of at least 5 days, I have had in the past ten months, and each visit has made me want to stay longer. The staff makes one feel as if they are at home. Everything that is wonderful and enchanting about the hotel is available on the hotel's excellent website, so there is little need to expand. The details on the website are accurate, and the photos are excellent and captivating. It may sound repetitive, but the staff are always polite, friendly, gentle and helpful, which is typical of Thais. However, they are not always super efficient. As usual, the check-in was rather slow at close to 30 minutes, which is surprising for a late arrival at 10.30pm, but the express check-out was truly express at around 2 minutes. As a VIP member, I requested a room upgrade and was informed that I would be told shortly by email and a phone call, but neither actually happened. The staff everywhere was as courteous as always, which is a feature of Thai hotels in general, but the Tower Club at Lebua in particular. There was a speedy response from the technicians when the hot water system broke down at 10.00pm, a problem that seemed to be confined to my room. An alternative room was offered for a shower, but the problem was fixed in around 45 minutes. The superb Tower Club Lounge on the 52nd floor, open from 6.00am - 6.00pm, the magnificent buffet breakfast, which caters to a variety of tastes from many regions, and the efficient business centre, are worth highlighting.
