"Great hospitality and people. The bartenders in the front lounge was not the friendliest, but otherwise everyone is exceptional Only negative I can think of is the elevators. One was out of order and the other one worked. It's very very small and has a small weight limit that my wife and I and our luggage were over the weight. Created a real issue when trying to check out when periods were busy. They said they were new elevators but they're waiting on the city to approve the ability to build bigger earlier. "

"The only issue was at check- in. I was assigned to room 309, but my key card wouldn’t work. The housekeeper took my card to get it reprogrammed at reception. While I was waiting, another young man came to #309 which he was assigned - and his key card worked. I went back to reception and I was reassigned to the correct room. The personnel housekeeping and reception) were very helpful and apologetic. I was grateful the error was resolved without incident. "

"Great one night stay on the way to Southampton prior to a cruise. This Place has the Wow factor in spades. The main building houses a comfortable bar and delightful multi roomed restaurant in an elegant 18th centuary manor house painstakinly moved brick by brick to it's current location."

"We arrived in Southampton not expecting to stay the night but, after realising we did, walked around hostels but all were no vacancy. This hotel was available and affordable for a last minute decision. Furthermore, we arrived at the hotel 10 minutes after booking online and, a very friendly receptionist greeted us, we had a quick joke and he gave us our room keys right away. The set up of the room was perfect for us, a double bed with a single bunk bed on top, all with personal lights. The hotel is said to offer toasties 24/7 however I didn't explore this. The rooms are nice with eco-friendly products as stated and, when we were a bit late for checkout and our room key stop working, the Maid staff there were very kind and understanding, quickly letting us in to double check we had all of our items. Absolutely a happy little hotel close to all amenities, I'd stay again!"
