"I can only review the staff at The River Hotel is AMAZING to say the least. From the moment I walked through the door I felt at home. I received a warm welcome and a fabulous room with all of the amenities. My room (suite) was spacious, clean and so comfortable. The hotel is centrally located so it makes getting around effortless. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Chicago and The River Hotel is my go to spot to stay."

"At check was told to pay an additional $450 for amenities such as water bottles, breakfast, and happy hour drinks. When reservation was made all of these amenities were included. Several guests had the same problem. I called Expedia customer service and was told to pay for the additional fees and try to get a refund afterwards which is not ideal. If you decide to stay at this hotel be prepared to pay for this all inclusive fees. Additionally the parking is about $60 per 24 hours."

"Staff was not consistent with hospitality. Room service was out of most items after 10pm. I believe the colleague’s name was Jo… she was rude and called my room several times after my order was placed. I spoke to front desk about my complaints and was told that my Hospitality Fee would be waived. That did not happen, I was still charged and have not gotten a call back from Management after calling multiple times. The facility is beautiful but staff is lacking In consistency of service. I do not recommend."

"The design of the property was cool and it was conveniently located but the queen room we stayed in didn’t have air conditioning and it was hot in there some days/nights and also there were some stains on the bed sheets. The faucet in our room also kept dripping. Also has no fridge or microwave:("
