"Room was very tiny, especially the bathroom. You had to go to the toilet on a diagonal and the shower you could touch wall to wall with your elbow (would have been impossible to wash your hair). The room stunk like old cigarette smoke which made us light headed. Good location."

"We had a great stay at Crowne Plaza Republique in April. The hotel is located in a good part of Paris and is quite accessible. The breakfast was excellent but what made me write this review and give it 5 stars is the staff. Our son had a bad bout of food poisoning the night before our flight back to the US. He was throwing up all night and we had to call the front desk at 2 am and they came and cleaned the toilet and the bathroom and changed the sheets and the bedding in the middle of the night so we could still try and get a couple hours of sleep before heading to the airport. They even tried to see if they could give us another room but the hotel was totally booked. I was very impressed with their professionalism and courtesy especially given how late in the night it was and they helped without any hesitation. Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Paris."

"The locations is excellent and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are extremely small and the bathrooms even smaller. If you are taller you cannot use the bathroom comfortably. In the morning there is no hot water! Shower at night! "

"This is a great hotel for folks who don't need a lot out of a hotel to enjoy the sites of Paris. Its location is the prime reason we selected it. The room itself was very comfortable, and the beds were also very comfortable, and it was relatively quiet throughout the night. There is a lift/elevator, which made it very convenient to get our bags up to our room. They were also gracious enough to hold our luggage after we checked out so that we can enjoy more of Paris before we had to go to the airport. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit."
