I liked everything except the policy for men to wear long pants at the alacarts. It’s hot and humid and going to them means walking which makes for an uncomfortable dinner. What is extremely frustrating however is that the policy is not enforced for all and some guests wear shorts without penalty. The long pants policy should be removed.

I recently stayed at Barcelo Tropical and I'm incredibly disappointed with my experience. The staff was consistently unfriendly and unhelpful throughout my stay, which significantly impacted my overall enjoyment. Even worse, the condition of the hotel room was appalling. There was black mold all over the room, which not only made the accommodations unpleasant but also caused several members of my family to fall ill. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the cleanliness and maintenance standards of the resort. Additionally, the limited availability of food areas that didn't require reservations was frustrating. We were restricted in the number of reservations we could make, leaving us with few dining options and often resulting in long wait times. Overall, my experience at [Resort Name] was extremely disappointing and I would not recommend it to others. The poor staff attitude, unsanitary conditions, and lack of dining options made for a thoroughly unpleasant stay
