A lovely historic conversion, room was a nice size and comfortable. Great menu in the restaurant and very friendly staff.

very poor meal how do you make lasagne without any taste? and the chicken and ham hock pie was all pastry and very little filling very dissapointing the shower controls and cold tap very difficult to open allmost seized up and the toilet tank loose on the wall,We have stayed here several times and this was the worse stop!

Reception is not manned. On arrival pressed the bell which rang in the office back of reception where there was no one around. You have to wait for someone behind the bar to notice you stood waiting to check in. It was exactly the same for check out.

Staff excellent Cleanliness excellent Only downside was the shower gel/hand soap dispenser was “damn hard work” to use as it appeared to be broken (Room 18) It required a great deal of force to squeeze anything out of it!!!!
