"When I checked in the person presented me with a card that he said gave complimentary coffee in the coffee shop. It was actually a fee card which cost $450.
I did not use the card and was credited the $450 but this employee is not giving the correct information when presenting these cards to guests as if they are a perk for staying at the Fairmont.

"Dated , dirty , focused on monetization and not on guest experience. But this may be the trend in union square, all these places are old and maintained enough to keep going. I think for more luxurious , guest oriented experience , there are other areas of San Francisco , but are pricier as expected. So I guess for the money this place wasn’t horrible."
