"Charming and unique stay. We only stayed one night but we really enjoyed it. There’s not much happening in the town and the day we arrived the restaurant was closed. Breakfast was great with fresh breads and meats and cheese. Excellent coffee. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it. "

"The apartment was gorgeous! Large & airy, amazing location. A few issues… I had to track down someone who spoke English in order to get access to the apartment. Right after I booked the apartment a few months ago, they did send me information about parking, but there was nothing about a code to get the key for the apartment. I booked through Expedia, which was probably part of the problem and probably would’ve had fewer issues had I booked directly. Expedia also gave the incorrect address of...

"If you want a nice, peaceful, away from everything kind of place, then this is your stop. Up on top of the mountains, you have a fantastic view all around you. It is very quiet and you can sleep peacefully. The rooms are quite basic, no fridge, soap stuffs, but it is still a great lodge. The owners are very nice and amazing folks who will do what they can to make your stay pleasant. This was definitely a relaxing stay for me."

Lots of great walks start from near the hotel, including the UNESCO walking trail throughout the Wachau. Great restaurant - and the wine is great. "As a wellness hotel it was very good value and in a nice, quiet area. It was right next to the river Thaya. All facilities were well maintained and great to use. My room (single) had an annoying noise together with a smell of cigarette coming from the bathroom which woke me up during the night.. It took a day and several requests to fix the noise (I stayed 3 nights), but the smell apparently could not be fixed.
