It felt like I was paying for inconveniences. I pre-paid when checking in for 3 days parking. However, on the Saturday, due to weather I decided to drive to my event, leaving the parking lot around 10AM. I did not arrive back to the hotel until after 11PM that night. At which time, the lot gate was up. When I pulled in there were absolutely no parking spots. Even any additional room where a spot could be "made" had been taken. When I told reception, I was told that I could just park in the parking lot beside the Crown parking; apparently it's actually cheaper at $17 a day rather than the Crown's $28 and it's "basicly the same distance anyway." By this point, I was too tired and irritated to get into a pointless argument about having pre-paid and just went and parked in the Scadderbush restaurant's parking lot. When I told the concierge when checking out she said that they wouldn't charge me for that night, but when I checked my card, I still have a $56 charge. $56 to park from 3:04PM Friday to just after 10AM on Saturday is an absolutely ridiculous amount. Lastly: the room. It was small and very dark. The 2 bedside lights were the only useful illumination in the entire room. There were actually zero working wall sconces - which I've never seen before. The only other light was a desk lamp which was both extremely bright and as too heavy to move. The bathroom was also extremely small. And the room's only half window was so dingy it was hard to see out of.
