Our host, Paul, was very gracious and full of good suggestions about things to do, places to eat, etc. The location is perfectly wonderful, with nice views from the spacious deck, and but a couple of minutes’ drive to the centre of Kaiteriteri."

"The property is on the 2nd level of a hillside house overlooking the beach. The views are simply amazing. At night all you can hear is the waves. The property is modest and very clean, with all that we needed for our stay. The kitchen and bathroom are small but amply for our family of 3. There are 3 comfortable reclining chairs in the lounge area which were great for us. The area does has a couple of restaurants that are in walking distance eating but we found that we ate in all of our nights...

"We stayed here for a few days in March 2023. The place was neat, clean and pleasant - it has the feel of being somebody’s everyday home. It is located in a rural setting (with a little light industrial around) a long way back from the road - the sounds you hear through the day reflect the setting, as does the silence at night. "Perfect spot for us as we live on a farm. Quiet. As we are older found bed hard, a topper would help, could be taken off if you like a firm bed.. Only slept here really as there is so much to see and do in the area. Needed a top up of tea bags and soap which was promptly delivered. Very handy to town and beaches."

"A rustic farm experience in a lovely cabin. Amazing sea and bush views and incredible star gazing. The farm is an animal sanctuary with horses, ducks, geese, chicken, sheep, cattle, pigs and peacocks which really added to the countryside experience. This is a rustic experience similar to glamping so if you're after the 5 star experience this is not for you. "A unique property about as close to the Tasman area as you can get. My room was more like a cabin, with its own parking and even an outdoor bathtub and barbeque area. The room was large and comfortable, with a kitchenette and small fridge. There is also a public cooking area and laundry facility. Also nearby, your own private glowworm cave, although I didn't get a chance to check it out. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel easy to find and check-in was easy. You pretty much have to have a car here but this is true of most of the area. I had a great stay, even through I was only there a short time."
