Top hotels and accommodation in Tahora

Whanga Bridge House on the Forgotten World Highway
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (74)
"The accommodation was as advertised. No unpleasant surprises. Wood fire kept the house cozy. We were there late autumn, it would have been a great addition to have a wall heater in the bathroom which was outside on the back porch. Otherwise I would recommend a stay for those who can tolerant Taranaki temperatures. The easy close walk to the Whangamomona Hotel was the icing on the cake."

Beds comfortable plenty of blankets and towels provided and the fire place was amazing. Regular delivery of farm fresh eggs from the host such a nice thing to do. All in all we loved our stay everything needed was supplied couldn’t have asked for anymore. Thank you so much for your hospitality Jenny and Dawn 🙂"

Beautiful Onaero Bay, so close to New Plymouth ...
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (63)
"The owners are friendly and quick to respond. The house is cosy, and our whole family enjoyed our stay. We really liked the comforts of home, including the TV, and also really appreciated using the kayaks and fishing rods. My sons were fishing most of the time! Just a couple of little things we have for suggestion: the beds were not made, however, we had access to linen to make them up ourselves. It was useful having the washing machine and dryer, however maybe the dryer needs to be moved...
