Hi, thank you for the feedback. Our standard units only have 1 aircon in the living area but our superior units have aircon in more than one room and also more modern.

Would not stay here again. Mould spots on the bathroom ceiling, cockroaches and small black bugs in the apartment. Cupboard doors falling off in the kitchen.

Not sure why you would give this review as we just checked as no mould in the bathroom. We currently have guest in the unit and they said no insects/bugs at all and the cupboard doors are all fine. We never had any reviews on these issues before.

Apartment 31 was well situated to everything however there were a couple of things I would like to mention. Many of the power points seemed not to work e.g., those that the bedside lamps were connected to in both bedrooms. there was a power pack which was tested in another power point and seemed to work. Would suggest that all the apartment are checked. The few complimentary amenities were appreciated but the provision of items such as alfoil and glad wrap would be useful especially for guests travelling from interstate. To have to shop for such items and then either leave or take home does increase costs. Certainly we have been in other places where these have been provided. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again.

Hi Emma, thank you for the feedback. We will investigate the issue with the power. We are self-contained units and only supply a starter pack for guests. Expedia does not even provide guests address so there is no way we know if you are from interstate. We do offer extra amenities and available from reception as per the info pack you received.

I hate to be picky but when we first entered the property the doors leading out to the pool were closed but unlocked and the cutlery, cups, pillows were dirty with stains on them. Also when I opted to pay at the property which I thought was when I ‘check in’ the payment had already been taken out of my account that morning and not onsite as I thought that was to happen. Also the online check in page they sent did not work either I didn’t get a code via email or sms and I called to give them my 24hour notice as the app requested no one answered the phone and no call back. It wasn’t till I emailed them that day they replied the day of check in. The reception staff were friendly.

Dear Kylie, as you booked with Expedia we don't send the confirmation email but Expedia automatically sends out the confirmation email. Our payment terms and conditions clearly state that we will charge the credit card given the day of check-in. When you called, I was busy with other guests and as you did not leave a message, I could not call you back. I also apologized as had an IT issue with text messages on the day you checked in.

We had 2 small children, the table & chairs were to high for them to get up & down from. Air con not in bedrooms so was very hot in them all night.

Hi Vicki, thanks for the feedback. Please note we have not received the ages of your kids otherwise we could have given you another unit more suitable. All units only have 1 aircon cooling the entire apartment as description on our website.

Had an enjoyable stay at Kalua. After hours check in and out was easy. Two entrances to the beach just across the road and walking distance to either Alex or Maroochy lifeguard supervised beach sections. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed, with a nice little view of the ocean. Was a quiet area. Would happily stay here again, affordable rates for a comfortable apartment right near the beach. Thankyou!!

Location was very good and secure parking was provided. Bed was comfortable and shower was very hot. However there was mould on the bathroom ceiling, no aircon for bedrooms - and the ceiling fans were in the rooms were very loud if you used them on a high setting. Also there was crease dripping from the cooktop exhaust fan.

A nice small hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Beds comfortable. Great position for eating out and going to the beach. Shopping centre close also. We were on ground level. People on higher floors would have to cart their luggage up stairs. Overall a nice quiet place. Nice gardens and heated pool

We really enjoyed the ground floor aspect, looking out into garden and the immediate and private outdoor area. Although we didn't use the pool and BBQ facilities we could see that other people did. Taze was a friendly and helpful host.

The unit was comfortable, we were surprised that it had stairs though. The updated bathrooms were good. The queen bed was a bit lumpy. The parking was very tight.

This was one of the better apartments I have stayed in on the Coast. It was large and very comfortably furnished. The kitchen was well stocked with items to make cooking just like being at home. The property was quiet and so close to the beach.

My friends and I wanted a central location to enjoy the beach and restaurants and we found that place at the Kalua Apartments. The welcome was very friendly and the unit was spacious, clean and neat. It was exactly what we wanted.
