This St. Lucia hotel resort is spread across more than one hundred acres of tropical forest. The resort faces secluded Jalousie Bay between St. Lucia's signature twin peaks, Petit Piton and Gros Piton. A beach of light-colored sand fronts the bay. Floats designate a snorkeling/diving area beside the mountain's wall. This dramatic setting attracts guests seeking snorkeling, diving, and hiking, as well as couples desiring privacy-with-a-view in rooms and villas.

Shuttles transport guests around the resort. Use of snorkeling gear is complimentary; scuba diving is available for a surcharge. The resort provides sun loungers at the pool and beach, as well as beach towels and umbrellas.

Renovated in 2012, the resort features the Rainforest Spa, complete with tree house treatment rooms and an Amerindian steam dome. The spa offers a wide range of treatments and rituals including a new signature bamboo massage. The complimentary open-air fitness center contains resistance equipment, cardio machines, free weights, and a workout area for classes (surcharges) such as yoga, Pilates, tai chi, and kung fu.

The Great Room - Serves Caribbean-influenced fare in candlelit, air-conditioned surroundings. Dress code is casual elegance. Shorts, jeans, caps, and T-shirts are not allowed. Open for dinner. Last seating at 9:30 PM.

Palm Court Bar - Bar/lounge with pool table in Great House (main building) overlooking bay. Afternoon tea and light snacks. Open mid-afternoon to late night.

The Cane Bar - Speciality rum bar, featuring cutting-edge style, a glowing white bar, and comfortable over-sized furniture in a palette of white and soft charcoal, offering a wide selection of rum and a “rummelier” to help guide guests through their choices. Features a range of dishes to provide the perfect accompaniment to chosen libation, from sashimi or sushi platters featuring the freshest catch of the day, mini-burger trios with fish, chicken and beef topped with caramelized onions and organic arugula, to freshly grilled chicken, beef or vegetarian satay served with traditional satay sauce and bok choy kimchi. Dish selections may change according to market availability. Located behind the large rustic wooden door in the main Great House atrium, near the Palm Court Terrace. Open from 6 PM to midnight, 7 days a week. Guests must be 18 years and over. The bar is not included in the all-inclusive meal plan.

A 137-m (150-yd) beach of imported light-colored sand fronts the resort's portion of the rocky-shore bay. Floats designate a snorkeling/scuba-diving area beside Petit Piton's sheer wall.

A 45.75 x 15.25 m (150 x 50 ft) oblong pool is surrounded by a sundeck with lounge chairs and umbrellas.

This St. Lucia resort provides complimentary snorkeling gear, sailboats, kayaks, and windsurfers. (Surcharges for instruction, kayaking and snorkeling excursions). A dive center offers scuba-diving instruction/certification and reef, wreck, wall, and night dives off the beach and nearby (surcharges). Independent operators sometimes offer water skiing on the bay.

Complimentary shuttles transport guests up the hillside to four artificial-grass tennis courts (three lighted). Play is complimentary. Tennis racquets can be rented. Private tennis lessons are available for a surcharge.

An open-air fitness center offers yoga, Pilates, tai chi, kung fu, and other classes for a surcharge. Guided nature walks are complimentary, and guided walks to a waterfall are available for a surcharge. Helicopters land at the resort's helipad for sightseeing tours.

Independent water taxis transport guests to Anse Chastanet, notable for snorkeling and diving, and to Anse Mamin, a former plantation with groomed mountain-biking trails and separate hiking trails through jungle and among mango, coconut, banana, guava, cocoa, and citrus trees. Mountain-bike rentals are available.

Rainforest Spa at Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort has 7 treehouse treatment gazebos, an earthen steam room warmed by volcanic spring water, and a specialist skin care treatment room sitting alongside a stream in the lush tropical forest at the base of Petit Piton. The Beauty Suite houses a hairdressing salon, and there is a wet treatment room for manicure and pedicure services

Signature treatments include Bamboo Massages, hot rock therapies, facials, body wraps, Indian head massage, salt scrubs, polishes, and Ayurvedic and holistic treatments.
