The room was excellent with wonderful beds and a large bathroom. It was very quiet. The housekeeping did a great job, it was evident that they received a good training. The pool and gym are a bit old, but not too disgusting to use. Some Chinese will smoke on the non-smoking floors, which is still common in mainland China.
About the location: make sure you can arrange your own transportation, and know how to use food/laundry delivery in Shanghai. The subway is too far and taxis are not plenty around. There is a new subway line under construction in front of the hotel which causes traffic jam every day.
The Wifi was slow and cable connection costs extra.
Upon check in the hotel charges the full stay plus an unusually large deposit, so make sure your credit card can cover it, esp. if you stay a week or longer.
Overall a good experience because of the excellent room. We used Uber and the staff helped us communicate in Chinese, so the location didn't become a problem. You can see American Airlines and Aeroflot crews every day and admire their fancy uniforms.
