Most enjoyable of all was the feeling of calm. We especially liked participating in the Long Bar service. We used the gym and swimming pool facilities which were superb. The proximity of the subway was an added bonus.
We felt thoroughly relaxed.

The room was clean and the view of the city and the river was fantastic. I stayed in the executive level, that included free breakfast, and free food and drinks for early evening. No need to go out. That was worth the money.

We just spent 3 nights at this fabulous hotel (Oct 2014). One of the best quality price hotel we experienced worldwide. Try to get a room with a direct view on the Pudong. Magical (particularly on night). Luxurious large bedroom with living room, large marble bathroom with bath, shower, 2 sinks. English speaking staff. Incredible breakfeast buffet and other restaurant in the hotel. Free spa access including: pool, hot tub, dry and wet sauna.***** stars.

I stayed for 3 days. It's in the old and busiest residential area of Shanghai and close to bund and Nagjing road, very close to Fuzhou road and the biggest bookstore. Small shops nearby are overwhelming and could be confusing, if you are not sure where to go to eat, to get train ticket, or to get a haircut, you should ask for suggestions from the staff. You could find the best service of any kind nearby if you know where to go.

The staff was amazing. They would walk out to the street and call us a cab while we waited in the lobby, then told the cab driver where we wanted to go in chinese, even looking up our desired destinations online if they did not know exactly where they were. Always opened doors and carried our bags. The room was a little small, but was very new and clean. The only negative about the hotel is that it is too far to walk to the subway. You will need to spend around 16-18 yuan ($2.5-3) for a cab to the nearest subway station (Jinqiao Rd).
