“It is worth spending extra to get a suite!”

We had a Deluxe Suite with park view. It is well worth spending that extra to get a good room. The space is great and the view at night can only be described as "Christmas Tree gone mad" - simply brilliant. I won't recommend taking the buffet breakfast, when the hotel is located at the heart of Shanghai's premium food street. Just go to the BACK of the hotel and eat... Cheap Eat! Or if you after fine breakfast, just hop on the No. 2 Metro Train and go one station to Peace Hotel for breakfast by the Bund. The hotel is great for it's location, it is on top of the junction of no. 1, 2 and 8 line. Walking distance to Bund or French Concession ( or just a station away). My advice, go for the suite with the view... Don't bother with breakfast and enjoy the location.

“Excellent hospitality and location”

The hotel people are all very helpful. The location is very near to an underground station and very near to the downtown. The room is rather large and very clean. I had breakfast and dinner there, and they are very excellent.

“I loved the Radisson”

Perfect location, quiet rooms, excellent service, friendly staff... you cannot really ask for more. The selection and quality of the restaurants wasn't the best but at least one is open 24/7, so it's perfect for late dining (Shanghai's kitchens close early). Everything else was perfect. I would definitely return on a future trip.

“Really great hotel and a beautiful city”

Perfect location right in the middle of the city, on bustling Nanjing Road, with shops and museums a stone's throw away. You could quite easily explore most of the city on foot from here, although Peoples' Park metro station is right opposite the hotel, and taxis are abundant and cheap. From start to finish, all the hotel staff were courteous and helpful. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable, with an impressive view over the city. We were out and about everyday, so I can't comment on the hotel's own restaurants and other facilities. We had a phenominal time in Shanghai, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to fellow travellers.

“Like coming home”

The Radisson Shanghai New World is one of the most welcoming hotels. This is my 4th stay in the hotel and it genuinely feels like coming home. The staff are welcoming, I have received an upgrade on every stay and I can't fault anything about the facilites or service. Located directly across from the People's Square metro, the hotel can be reached from the airport directly via the Maglev and transferring to the Metro at Long Yang Rd. Take line 2 and exit at no. 7 exit on People's Square. Some other exits will get you there, but minus an upward excalator. This makes all the difference with baggage. There is a huge choice of dining in the streets behind the hotel and an excellent massage centre direclty behind the hotel. Right at the Western end of the Nanjing Rd pedestrian mall, this is a great base to go out shopping or exploring from.

“Best location”

The Radisson New World really is located right in the center of Shanghai. Nanjing Boulevard is just outside the front doors with all the shops, restuarants and neon displays that make this area so unique. You can easily walk down to the Bund and the Pearl TV Tower is two stops by subway or walk and take the motorized tourist tunnel. Though rooms are probably smallish by American standards, our Jr. suite was very comfortable with two huge LCD TVs and an enormous bathtub. The hotel is right across the street from People's Square and the People's Square Subway stop -- convenient. The concierege was very helpful in arranging some tours we wanted to take to Hangchow as well. We would defintely stay there again.
