Friendly and efficient staff during check-in and check-out . Asked for extended check-out and was immediately granted to 2.00pm which is very good eventhough my flight is at 6.30pm. Conveniently located next to the new central market which is considered clean by market standard. A visible signage when entering the 2nd Floor of the market in the morning at 9.00am from the staircase, "Since 1940,The Original Homemade Kueh Teow with Deep-Fried Pork" which is served in non-soup or soup is a must try and one must go early as otherwise it is sold out fast. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay in Four Points Sandakan, and I will be back again in December 2014.
Hotel in the center of the city on the water front. We bartered for an hourly rate with a taxi and he showed us around the typical housing( very dirty) bit great to see also he took us to see what we wanted as well Plenty of eating places on water front mainly at at the hotels eatery only draw back was their food was not served hot
Clean & good location.
Rooms are big and spacious, all amenities are provided.
Minutes to town, and to English Tea House.
Nice pool and pool deck, gym etc.
Although they are still using a small CRT TV, but that's not what you are there for.
It's old, but they have started their (first?) renovation!

This is a new hotel and seemed half empty when I was there. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and the room was well-furnished and comfortable. It is a fifteen minute walk from town but there are plenty of buses and minibuses if you don't feel like walking. The restaurant food is a bit limited but this will probably improve once there are more guests. The television in the restaurant was always switched to HBO ( an English language channel) on my arrival which you may or may not appreciate!
